No because I'm not buying into this year's hype train. I want to see new Features, not hype.
I'm not interested in a new class, this chapter has shown nothing that'll benefit my existing characters, and the zone will be exactly the same for me if I wait until it goes on sale.
I actually did the opposite of most and unsubbed due to the apparent lack of new upcoming features and systems that my current characters can use. Where's a new crafting system, like Transmutation of 2017 and Jewelrycrafting of 2018? Where's a big new system like the Player Housing System of 2017 and Outfitting system of 2018? There's nothing of that caliber on the road map for this year. I'm amazed how we're given less real content each year, while we're told its more and people buy the spin. Don't get me wrong, I still love the game, but my wallet is closed to them until I start seeing new content again that actually affects my current roster of characters.
Where is the "other" option? I didn't because I was hoping for a physical collector's edition. Since there isn't one, not sure if I want to or not. Quite pricey. Price won't change if I buy now or later. What is the benefit of pre ordering anyways? Getting a mount now? For me that is not good enough to give Zenimax or I should say Bethesda (publishing) $60.
I am conflicted right now. I am liking ESO a lot again. On the other hand, I don't like Zenimax how they handle some things. I really hate how Bethesda (publishing) is acting and behaves and don't want to support them.
Right now, I am in the camp on how Zenimax and Bethesda have very buggy games takes too long to fix, and then on top of it all, says their games are worthless compared to their "stores" and keep asking for money when they can't even fix their games. "Yes we know our games don't 'just work' but please, keep buying and spending your money on things you never own and we let you use and play with".
So I am conflicted. On one hand I want to support the great work that is being done, but on the other hand I don't want to condone shady business practices that Zenimax and Bethesda do.
Who knows, maybe a message was sent with Fallout 76, we can do the same here and say we will not take it anymore. At least by not pre ordering do we accept your business practices.
After all, waiting a year, Elswyr will be free on ESO+.

I preordered Summerset mostly because I liked bonus senche mount and the costume. But I don't like bonus horse mount and not really interested in costume for Elsweyr The only thing which might change is when 20th of May is very close and I can become too anxious about "I could have extra 14 days of horse training for my necromancers already done by the 4th of June" I hope to stay strong though.
Already have. What do you mean "because"?
Why does anyone buy anything? Because they WANT TO.
