I feel like stamsorc, magsorc and stamblade are the only classes that have some sort of mobility left in this patch. Sorc got streak, and stamblade got Shade (when it decides to work) in combination with cloak + shuffle.
The amount of skills that contain any kind of snare needs to be drastically reduced. Snares I would like to see removed/reworked:
- Snare from Templar Ritual: Templar already have access to snares through Jabs + Sun Fire
- Snare from DK´s passives when applying Ardent Flame abilities
- Rending Slashes and Hidden Blade
- Low Slash: Remove snare from the base-morph and give it to Deep Slash. Heroic Slash gives minor heroism while deep slash snares and hits more enemies.
- Frostblockade: 60% Movement speed reduction is way too much in my opinion. Reduce it to 30-40%. Keep the stronger snares attached to ultimates (Like Sleet Storm, Nova, Consume Darkness)
And bring back mobility to the game. I hated the swift meta simply because it was overperforming, but I´d take that meta 24/7 compared to how it is now.
Shuffle isn´t a counter unless you´re a stamblade and can cloak/shade away.
Cleansing Ritual isn´t a counter because you´ll be slowed/snared on the next tick.
Forward Momentum is barely worth running anymore.
Major expedition uptime on potions should be brought up compared to how it is now. Add some reagent so magicka builds can have expedition + restore magicka so it´s no "stamina exclusive" thing.

this isn’t about just battlegrounds, roots and snares are too common in Cyrodiil also. I also dont think you should be able to stand in a breach and spam one ability to stop a group of players.
I personally think every class, stam or mag, should have access to snare and root immunity 2-3 seconds max. And the Devs need to go thru and instead of nerfing snares just remove snares from certain abilities in general.
All of this complaining about snares is not legit. 99% of stamina players are not running gap closers because of the nerfs to shields and sustain against mag players has allowed them to go full on heavy dmg or med sustain and not have to sacrifice anything except mobility for ridiculous burst.

Switch to Medium and run more stam regen if your heavy armor burst build is getting locked up, that's the entire freaking point.

You roll out of the snare and use the gap closer, it's like PVP 101.
Half the snares in the game will require a recast if you roll dodge out of it, costing you just as much as it costs us to recast our snare.
MagSorc escapes have increasing costs per use the same way roll dodge does, but it doesn't matter, I use a roll dodge + streak to escape literally everyone open world.
If your complaining about snares in BG's you're just soft. It is your teams fault if you're being constantly snared.

I run absolutely no snares in PVP. You make absolutely no sense. Stamina toons have ridiculously high sustain in this patch, the only counter for us to now force you into going OOS the way your DPS can force a Mag toon to go OOM is for us to force you to roll dodge (for snare removal) and to create enough distance to break up your DPS.
If you're getting constantly snared you're just bad dude. I don't know what else to tell you. Plenty of people can roll dodge, ani-cancel DPS and throw together burst combos. I'm not even sure what class you play but if you tell me your build / load out we can make a proper assessment of what you're doing wrong.
