What advice would you give new players? (2018 edition)

The free houses are great as a quick free teleport out of a sticky spot. The one in Auridon is super convenient to a waystation, the one in Daggerfall is an easy almost unguarded path to outlaw refuge (jump off the wall), the one in Ebonheart is a shortcut for the new life festival lava stomp daily...

Survey reports will stack and you can claim the mats, run away, come back and harvest again per survey in the stack. You can also reset alchemy survey mats if you walk away and come back.

Treasure maps don't stack but if you decide on a treasure map run and you have a friend you can trust (or an alt account), you can bounce-mail them to a friend and just claim the attachment when you've picked up the first one.

If you log out in a house you don't own (for example, guild house) when you log in again you'll be in the same space you left before going to the guild house.
