Why would anybody play a sorc?

I try other classes in pvp, I end up going back to Stam sorc.

I'm tempted to try stamplar though, haven't tried it yet and it looks like it might be a decent alternative to the brawler style I prefer.

I farmed the stam gear on magsorc before I switched then when I was ready I changed race from dark elf to redguard, switched all points to stam and reskilled. Redguard sustain helps.

As for dps, I was way behind my magsorc for a bit but now it's far superior... though I do things that aren't considered meta. You can message me in game. Char name is 'grr and I'll be happy to share.

Um, because Crit Surge and power surge op heals. Also you don’t even need to use spell power pots.
Any other stam classes suck at self heals if you haven’t noticed. Sorc just easier to survive in vma.

Both magsorc and stamsorc are very good.
Pvp or pve.
If you cant play one I feel sorry for you.
Its either your game is broken or..........

Hahahahahaha (wipes tears from eyes). That's so funny. I put together a stamsorc with the wrong race (Breton) and no Undaunted mettle recently, and she annihilated my two friend's proven and refined stam DK and mag DK builds in duels. Try a high-crit setup. I was running Leviathan and Advancing Yokeda with vMA daggers. Crit Surge, Hurricane, Bloodthirst, Blood Craze, Bloodthirst, Dawnbreaker, Implosion, gone. The PvE damage from that setup was curiously lacklustre, certainly not better than from more standard builds, but against tanky DK players it was insane, and healing was through the roof, allowing me to go ham.

Now granted, that was only one scenario. It seemed to show ZOS' Rock, Paper, Scissors gameplay at it's finest. I couldn't get to grips with the stamsorc in open world yet. Extremely vulnerable to Snipe. Trying to rely on Crit Surge for healing is hard when you get attacked from range. I was running bow / Poison Injection, but it seemed to me I more likely needed a gap closer, so I could get people into my Hurricane and get reliable healing every second. To say that stamsorcs don't do close combat well is ridiculous. Who wants to be NB, caught by Hurricane? You don't know what you're talking about.

Hmm. I’ve seen some pretty nasty Stam Sorcs in both overland and in BGs recently.

Maybe adjust your build instead?

Because I have 30k+ achievement points and 21 alliance levels on my sorc main and ZOS in their infinite wisdom made achievements and alliance levels bound to a character not an account. No point progressing achievements on an alt if the majority of them are already earned on my main.

I've got around 6k Wep DMG on my Stam Sorc and have been using Silver leashes as both a gap closer and spammable, it's pretty good.
