I play the same class with 2 diffrenct toons, is this weird?

10 slots, 2 of every class, most of them Nords (since they are not completely locked into magicka-stamina), tried to spread them out evenly across all 3 alliances.

i like my Nord dk the best even if its not meta.

It's a game dude, do what you want. I have a MagSorc DD & MagSorc healer on EU, love playing then the best so rolled one of each on NA too lol

i have a dunmer stamplar tank, a breton magplar healer, and an imperial blazplar.
it's normal to have multiple alts of the same class.

but to be frank, i don't bother to grind new gear for two of them, and only actively play the stamplar.

i find nothing wrong with anyone having as many race and class combinations as they like. 15 character slots is enough for most players i think.

me personally here is what i do:
5 characters.
1 of each class.

the leveling of skills, skill lines, fighters guild, mages guild, undaunted, psijic orcer, as well as horse training, skill point/skyshard collecting.... i enjoy doing those things but 5 times is ENOUGH.

example:
my warden was a redguard stam dps. race changed her to argonian and made her an ice tank.

my DK was an imperial tank. race changed her to dark elf and made her a healer.

i have enjoyed the changes i made lots more than what those characters were originally.
i would rather buy a race change token when i want to change my build or role as opposed to making a whole new character. im not against making a new one, but buying the change is more convenient and respectful of my time.

2 DPS Types (Magicka and Stamina), 1 Healer and 1 Tank for em'.

I think it more weird to think of it as weird. I have two to four characters for each class.

It’s not weird. I applaud those of you who have the time/patience/gold to level up alternate versions of the same class, though. I’ve had to cap myself at five characters total; there’s no way I would have the patience to level up Undaunted on five alternate versions of the same class. When I want to try out mag or stam versions of a class, I just race change.

I wrote in one of my guilds how many sorcs i have, and i was expecting waste of time comments and stuff, but they were all really cool.

I have six or seven sorcs, all magsorcs. Nords, Breton, Altmer, and Khajiit.

@MollyReed94, exactly! This is how i like to play the game, Sorcs are my fav class, with Templar being a close second. I have a few of them aswell:)

@Maotti I'm the same with nightblades, I love that class so much, I find it easier to play.

As much as I respect people want to maximise their potential with certain classes/races, it changes so often, I wouldn't be able to afford the race changes and skill changes to keep up.

I'd rather save my money and play my way.

Yeah, i have one Nightblade, my main char copy is that, mag Nord. Not the class i personally like the best, but that's the good thing, we are all different. ) I will definetly keep him though just to have one NB available.

Yeah, and that's partly the reason i created the Altmer sorc and levelled the breton sorc to 50, to have one or two "Min/max" characters in addition to the others.

And agreed on race change, first it costs too much imo, and race change is for me very unimmersive. :P I kinda grow attached to my characters. So race change is a no go. :P

I have two mag wardens: a high elf on AD and a breton on DC. I originally meant to have one dps and one healer. But then I was just enjoyed the healer build more. So now I have two mag wardens with identical builds and nearly identical sets.

I have a bunch (8 or 9, I have lost count, some deleted and rerolled) of magblades and, quite frankly, I don't give a "care" if anyone has an opinion about that.

my old "main" character. Master Crafter, solo Character for pretty much everything that can and can not (or "should not") be done solo. I love my old Nord Viking dude. Hits like a Truck, no sustain probelems, crazy survivability, and still people tell me "gotta play Redguard"....

Well, I like Stamina characters. All of these are my own builds, I don't care for "meta" or "best", I play what I enjoy and nobody needs to approve.

This seems pretty normal to me. I have a Magicka and Stamina version of every class, plus an extra Magicka Templar (one is PVE while the other is PVP). Excluding the two Magicka Templars (who are both Healers), they are all DPS too because I hate tanking. The Stam DK, who was my 2nd character, started as a Tank and had nearly all of the necessary gear but eventually got converted to DPS because Tanking is just not for me. I have a few friends who have similar set-ups, including having rolled Tanks, Healers, and DPS of many different races and classes. Playing the same character over and over can get boring!

Stamina and magicka play so differently in practice that they're virtually different classes. Hence ESO really has 10 (or more) classes. It's pretty standard nowadays, especially for long time players to have one stamina and one magicka char for each class, and sometimes a 3rd one with focus on health for tanking. Ex. a Redguard stamina DK, Argonian Health DK and Dark Elf magicka DK.

On one of my accounts, I have 9 nightblades (stam and mag) and I don't care.

Has 2 of all classes except warden, granted half are glorified bank alts.
Made an second DK for use as tank, as I had never tanked I though it was better to start with an new character.
Main issue with this is lack of skill points and inventory space.

Just have fun, I have double of every character class, might even be making a third Warden as I use my others to Tank and heal only. I like to have the easy variety of switching between characters which builds are already set with the proper gear / skills.

I made a third warden yesterday.
So out of eight chars, four are werewolves, and three of those are wardens. (I guess I replaced the bear with werewolf.)

All those are just peoples opinions.
And you do know what they say about opinions, right?

In the end, fu... uhm... forget other peoples opinions.
If -YOU- have fun playing your characters, that is all which matters. Doesn't matter if your characters are super-effective or not. And find those people who won't care about that sort of thing to play with.

And most of them are alts to see how that class does in this role, so I know what they can or cannot do.
The ones I really care about are my bounty huntress, and by goth librarian, and my paladin amazon... sometimes people may tell me that dunmer is not the best choice for a stamblade, or that my sorc boy should have been breton or altmer for more effectiveness, or what was I thinking making an orc semi-hybrid templar...
I ignore that, because while I may not get "highest DPS" accolades, murderdeathkill half of cyrodil or breeze through dungeons, I still have fun playing them...

I would counsel everyone to do the same. The game is about having fun, not about copying the "most effective" flavor of the month that will change some patch in the future anyhow...
