Requiring players to keep up to date with outside information in order to avoid being scammed is not good business practice. Not every player is hardcore into ESO and reads through every single newsletter, blog post, Tweet, etc.
This is a direct spitting in the face of those who bought Murkmire by itself and ESO Plus members. A big reason we pay monthly sub fees is to get access to DLC (expansions are already exempt from this).

This is an MMO, not your typical offline install and forget game. This game changes, and therefore you are expected to read up on updates. If that's to hard maybe consider offline games again? =/

First of all, daily rewards have only been around a few months, and you're already acting entitled lol. Get some humility. Secondly, they made it extremely obvious that it was a daily login reward via website, Facebook. Twitter, and word of mouth via the chat in game. You are CURRENTLY on the ESO forum so you obviously visit this site. Browse the website occasionally, you're playing an MMO not Pac Man. Stop acting clueless.

A good portion of the stuff in the announcements is fluff. Lore fluff and community fluff. "Meet the character" stuff, Crown Showcases, contests, Twitch stuff, etc. You cannot place the responsibility on the customer to sort through all that fluff to find the bit of information that saves them from being scammed. ZOS should have called Murkmire an "early access pass" or some sort if this is what they wanted to do. Their intentions should have been more clear to the customer.
A friend of mine even reads a lot of that additional stuff and she STILL saw nothing about a free Murkmire giveaway. She's out a good chunk of cash now.
It was put in quite a few places that the DLC would be a daily log in reward. Not ZOS's fault if anyone doesn't see it, not like it was hidden away in the fine print, it was everywhere.Firstly: I'm currently paying a monthly sub for this game so I think I'm well within my right to complain that something I'm paying quite a bit of money is being given away for free. Not to mention those who bought Murkmire outright.
Bottom line: The product is clearly marked IN THE CROWN STORE as also being a daily reward for November. There's no excuse, as a consumer, for not reading information on a product before purchasing. IT'S IN THE CROWN STORE DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT, nevermind all the other ways in which ZOS got the word out.
That said, I think it was a strange move to launch the game and then offer it for free the next month. We all knew this would happen, since we all know there are players who don't bother to keep themselves informed.

What about selling the WW/Vamp cure in the Store? For 800 crowns, no less? It's 600ish gold ingame!!
