*Goes into a dungeon as a sorc healer and activates overload* Where's my 3rd bar? WHERE'S MY 3RD BAR!?
In regards to PvE I think sorcs who used the 3rd bar will be taken aback by this change in particular.

wait. whats going on with overload? im pissed off already that they decided to gimp the shields. pissed me off last year when they gimped magic regen. if they dispose of my 3rd bar i am officially done with this game.
such a shame. just got my grand master crafter and got to cp 777 too. 3 more levels to go, but i dont even care. maybe ill just deposit everything of any value i own into a guild bank and call it a day. looks like these guys just decided that i cant have fun anymore. if your idea of balancing is to nerf a class into the ground just to make another class look appealing just to get me to play that instead, no thanks. im not having any of that. im not going to bother readjusting my setup and build and everything just to have it get nerfed as well. ive already been there, done that. ive put way too many hours into this game already to be dicked around like this. im done.
idrankyourbeer wrote: »man i just did some more searching and yeah it seems to be true. theyre removing the bar. once again its the nerf that nobody ever asked for, but they seem to think that everybody needs!
looks like everything is getting nerfed. not just sorcs. but magsorc seems to be getting gimped the hardest. great job zos. keep patting yourselves on the back here and giving me more reasons to not invest another penny on ESO+ or even bother with the game much anymore. it was a good run, but i think ill be moving on. i have plenty of other games to play where the main focus isnt to take away the enjoyment people can get out of the game after each patch, and basically make the characters theyve spent hundreds of hours on useless overnight. no thanks
im curious to know their actual reasoning behind this. did one of the developers go into a public game in cyrodil and get zerged down by a group of magsorc's and decided to hell with you all! even all you guys who spend 99% of your time in PvE. No more fun for any of you! Or are they just so incompetant that their way of 'balancing' a class is to just gimp the rest of the classes because after all of these years, they still cant figure out how to actually improve on the classes that really need to be buffed?
I'm quitting in Nov, just cancelled ESO+ games unplayable (500 ping daily now) and its not because of magsorc but warden nerfs.. Arctic blast and bear were the final nails for me.
That said i think most people know by now that Nov ESO patch will be garbage just from word of mouth in guilds, and our guilds have diminished since the patch notes were dropped, a lot of guildies have already left..
Murkmire will not be enough imo to help the nerfs..
Shields are now stronger on the pts than they are on live. Plenty of videos proving it. You cried so much that not only did you prevent needed balance changes. You got an OP aspect of your game buffed even further...and you're still crying.

I believe most of us are getting to this point.

Stam and some tank builds lost all ability to passively dodge damage. Only active roll dodges count.
poor things.
so sad for them.

And rightly so!
It's not 2014 any more. We are not in alpha, by now ESO should be SOLID and gameplay should be AS advertised.
We did not roll and pay class A to get it turned into class B or class "useless".
Here, the long awaited final Nerfmire video from Alcast.
Now Nerfmire is going to get to the ESO vast public.
You see the copious reactions? I hope the forums will BURN, and incompetents be FIRED!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE7j1fb0B1M
When the youtubers bring out videos about how bad the changes are you know its going to be bad..
Have u run any dolmens. Lots of new sorcs lvling up. They will either never know the differance or its going to get salty.
Shield stacking was to strong before. It needed to be adjusted.

@MaxJrFTW
I find this fact comical.
You went from Magicka Sorcerers with very low resistances (including crit resist), and shields that saw no mitigation (past CP and protection buffs which are rare on a MagSorc).
When their damage shields dropped due to time or damage (contrary to popular belief you could remove a damage shield with sustained damage forcing the other player into perma defense or death) the MagSorc would MELT.
Now you are going to have MagSorcs with 25k + health and resistances, with damage shields increasing their effective health by 10-12k (stackable). And it will take MORE effort to kill a magicka Sorcerer than it previously did. Everyone wanted crits on shields not thinking about the fact that it is very rare to run >30-40% crit in PvP. It's a known fact to run 2k+ impen so stacking into crit damage takes too much from your other stats, and gets countered.
So now you have damage shields that are significantly stronger (20-30% more mitigation) against 60-70% of attacks, with an additional 10-20% mitigation on your health. Welcome to the MagSorc TANK meta. Enjoy what you asked for.
It's pretty funny.
I’d be interested to see this “tank sorc” in heavy armor with 25k health, maybe 32k magicka, shield stacking. With no light armor passives will have no sustain and no penetration, no crit. So cast two wards, and maybe 3 or 4 actual dps skills (with that massive 15K dps you have left). Then have to heavy attack a couple times for resources, rinse and repeat. Ya, might be harder to kill but wont do much damage and doesnt really seem like much fun. Not many sorcs rolled a sorc to become a tank, at least not in my experience.
