[TWS] Leaderboards for all things – „The magic of leaderboards“

There is a fan page that really excites me. And that's eso-db. You can see there many different statistics. From collected Tel-Var stones to slain mud crabs. Again and again I ask myself the question: "Why are this leaderboards not that in the game?"

eso-db Leaderboards

I remember past games or even current games, which actively take care of leaderboards. It motivates me tremendously and I think I'm not alone. Leaderboards keep me happy even in some games and are long-term motivation for me. What do you think about long-term motivation and leaderboards?

I wish so much more leaderboards in the style of eso-db. Space is enough in the in game UI. I could even help with the implementation!

Web-API for the Community

Also, I keep asking myself, why does Zenimax not provide a web API for statistics? I could well imagine an API for the campaign status. Many game publishers offer this, why not here? It would be a very desirable feature, which would work without extending the leaderboards.

Guys, what do you think about leaderboards, in best case compared with a Web-API for fan sites?
