Because you keep paying for it
Stop the funds and give them a harsh lesson, the game will be GOOD again.

I understand what you're trying to say, but I think your logic is flawed. If a big portion of their revenue stops coming in for the game (with your idea that everyone stop paying for ESO+), you think that is going to trigger them to spend a ton of money on new servers (to fix lag), game development (to fix bugs), and more resources for other problems? I honestly don't think so.

And what gets them to start working on performance, bugs and balance then?

I'm not arguing that we can get them to start adding new servers and/or fixing the current ones, because I think we're stuck with the servers we got and we just have to deal with it. Status Quo is good for ESO in their minds. I'm saying that cancelling our ESO+ accounts won't prove anything, nor will it jump start them into making performance enhancements.

I sticked with the game when it was p2p, now I'm subscriber to. I have unsubed 2 times, when they were about to destroy some classes because of to heavy nerfs. Both times they changed their mind before going live ;)

    Edit:
Or make it simpler. I pay for the product I like, I support it because I want it to get better.

"We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available."
    — They always claim they’re “investigating” the causes, but in reality they’re just waiting until the PC EU players go to bed. Once that happens, you can suddenly log in again and they happily mark the issue as Fixed.

More funds mean they can hire more people to make this game GOOD.
Stopping funds means they will have fewer resources to do so.
Besides, the game has never been this well balanced. Years ago there were balance issues for all classes and abilities, now it is reduced to a few classes and abilities that need a small adjustment into the correct direction.

If you think that ZoS will make this game good you really need to dig up what engine they used since the begging while the knew how horrible and laggy it is.

Besides that, the game is balanced according to forum whining. The ones that whine most get their desired nerfs to their eternal enemy sorc + the buffs in their class.

    Keep paying, your call.
I have my own PoV in this subject and im pretty sure that after 3-4-5 years you will remember me since this game is so gorgeous yet will never be fixed as it remains ssdd for the last 4 years.

I would say it depends on the current game dlc performance and if you are a crafter. Most importantly if you are having fun. For me, I have been a loyal eso+ member on two platforms, since the beginning but between the constant nerfs, the servers not being dealt with, the many unfixed bugs, and lack of decent customer support. I just think I would rather keep that money for other things until Zos takes a new direction.

If just starting I would definitely recommend it for the craft bag, crowns, and access to the dlcs. :)

I understand. As a 4.5 year fan and subscriber I find it increasingly difficult to overlook the endless cycle of nerfs, bugs, and unaddressed performance issues. The current count of friends that have left the game because of this patch is at 27 (yes- I am counting), and we are talking about ESO Plus subscribers with lots of discretionary income spent on crown crates, etc. really I think they represent the silent majority of PvE players in this game that are tired of re-engineering their characters every patch due to PvP players whining in the forums. For them Nerfmire is the last straw.

My reason for this poll was to gain an understanding of how many people in the forums were subscribers, and from that (by inference) the percentage of those complaining that at least pay for the privilege. I share my friends resentment at having "our" game ruined under the guise of PvP "balance", not to mention performance issues that never improve. We'll see. I keep hoping that ZOS will address these issues,; in spite, of historical evidence to the contrary.

I gave it up because I just can't stand the balance patches.

"Let's heavily nerf incredibly underpowered classes like Templar! Let's make a pig's ear of werewolf so that people can pull ridiculous DPS which will lead to whining and us nerfing werewolf into the ground again, hooray! Let's actually ignore what the real problems are! Let's do giant super hyper mega ultra ham-fisted power nerfs which would make a Killer Instinct cabinet blush instead of doing small iterations over a period of time to let our players adjust! Let's ignore better systems of balancing like the countering systems used in games like Divinity: Original Sin 2 and go via numbers, and then maintaining balance via random number generator!"

On top of that, the hierarchical elitism of raiding systems isn't great, is it?

"Some people have social anxiety? Well that's toooo bad! No dungeons for you if you don't play in a big group! What's that? That content looks fun? You're interested in the lore? Play in a big group! Hm? Early on we promised a strong solo and small group experience? We lied! We do that a lot. Are you new here? Look, this content is for the elitists. It doesn't matter if it's fun, you're locked out of it and that's that. It's there to make you feel bad and make them look better than you."

I mean, playing Skyrim, I don't suddenly need a group of 14 people to enter a dungeon. I'd rather play in a consistent group of 2-3 max. I like that. Small, tight knit group. It's like ZOS has never heard of introverts. I know, MMO, but like I said they did advertise it early on as a very Skyrim-like game, as having a strong single player/small group experience. Only around One Tamriel did their tune change with that in the advertising.

All of this just makes the other niggles I'd usually tolerate (like the grind) intolerable.

This could be a good game. It could be. It isn't. Especially not for more introverted personalities, or for people who enjoy stability rather than having to rebuild their character every month. And see, that only adds to the grind since if you aren't a part of a huge guild, rebuilding your character every month is a daunting task.

The message to werewolf fans and introverts from ZOS seems to be "Screw you guys!" in giant, blinking, neon letters in signs that can be seen from every possible viewing angle. Okay. Got the message. ESO isn't for me.

Shame, though. There really are the makings of a good game, here.

The makings of a good game aren't something I'm going to subscribe to, though. Or really play any more. There are more compelling Early Access titles out there, frankly.

I pay when I'm actually playing and enjoying the game but I generally end up quitting every couple of months for a month or two to play a better game till I get board and end up hearing of the new event or new content and jump back on for a while. Just come back at the start of Witches Festival and Murkmire launch, most likely the event will finish and I'll get the "Hero of Murkmire" Achievement and will quit again till after Christmas.
I have no problems paying a sub, I got use to paying for WoW for the several years I played it, same with Launch ESO, FFXIV etc. I just end up feeling like I'm paying a sub for a sub par game that never seems to improve in its basic flaws.

I have been nearly a month since my sub ended. No plans to renew it. Already organized all my things in the house containers, my own two guild banks and my maxed bank is exclusively to house all the crafting items. More than 6 months ago I used all the crowns I had and haven't gotten more and don't plan to get more. In fact, I am playing this game almost an hour per day because of the daily rewards and the events, but when no event is live I just get my daily and off I go to do some other real life activities. I have played this game since the first beta so is a long time and huge money I have spent on this game.

Not since the introduction of Chapters.

And Craftbag is no defense of ESO+ if anything it just goes to show how crappy they treat their playerbase. Let's create an incredibly burdensome inventory management system and leave it there on purpose instead of addressing it for everyone, and then act like were doing them a favor by charging permanently for the removal of it.

    Right... craft bag.

Couldn't imagine playing without it. Craft bag and bank space completely change this game
As in removing most of the inventory mini game who was an large part of quitting after a year.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Currently yes, 4 months left out of the 6 month sub, but I’ve cancelled and likely won’t renew when this runs out unless they improve performance, server lag, and stop massively rebalancing combat every 3-4 months.

I am, but after this enchant crap I'll be packing it in if I don't see some changes or addressing this madness. After all the lag, performance issues, never fixing anything, maintenance several times a week (sometimes), clearly never listening to the community, on and on this is the straw that broke the camels back for me.

I'll watch to see what manifest for a week, if not I'll cancel my sub. Saves me a bill just in time for Christmas from the crowns I splurge on then.

dont blame players they can whine a lot but they cant change the game. you should blame devs ignorance. but as can see they can do what ever they want because people will pay just for the craft bag. its ridiculous
