I've subbed since launch, but it seems ZoS would rather devote resources to gambling boxes rather then fix the issues that have been present since Beta and before.
I dont't play too often any more, so I dropped my sub.
I'm not prejudiced; I hate everyone equally !

Yes, but hanging on by a thread and have been here since beta. This patch might be the end of it for me. The devs have not convinced me that they have a coherent vision for combat in this game.

Furthermore, I am not a fan of the last two trials. Their reply value is almost non-existent, and the progression is simply not fun. Nobody wants to do the same single fight on repeat. I really hope they go back to a model similar to VMOL for future trials. I have watched at least a half a dozen guilds dissolve over the past year, and these are just ones that I raided with. This was not the only reason (morrowind nerfs were hard to swallow), but I think it is a big factor.

Finally, I have been playing a lot more PVP lately because of this, but that leads me to the next point. PVP lag of this magnitude is simply inexcusable for a modern MMO with the amount of revenue this game clearly has. I love the game, I love all things ES, but its getting harder and harder to support a broken MMO with my wallet. By any rational definition of the term, ESO PVP is broken during prime-time.

Good points. I too am increasingly disillusioned by the continuing string of nerfs and have seen 14 [subscribing] friends move away from the game for these reasons. but that is a topic for another thread. Thanks.

I only play one game exclusively at a time for long periods of time. Several years in each of Oblivion then Skyrim before coming to ESO. And I play basically everyday. So the decision for me is an easy one. I can imagine if one plays sporadically or plays multiple games the decision gets harder.

I'm basically a single player medieval fantasy open world massive scale gamer. That ESO is multiplayer is a drawback I live with until a game that meets my requirements comes along that is single player. My problem with multiplayer is primarily this fetish with balancenerf. My secondary problem with multiplayer is that I want to immerse into the gameworld with my character - not with other people.

*waves at Acadian* I agree in some ways - but the thing I love about MMOs is the non-static nature of the games. They - unlike the TES SPMR games, or the SSI Gold Box games etc. - are living environments. Things change. The world changes. Sometimes I don't like how the world changes (nerfmire, anyone?) but still, it's better than standing still....

sub for a month or two then move on to another game. sub again then move on. If everything weren't such a punishing grind i know eso would be more fun to play. My sub ended yesterday so I'm rolling on to something else soon.

For me, it was absolutely essential from the beginning. I tried playing a year or so ago after a Steam free weekend and got into ye olde MMO pit-- you know, where you have no money, no stuff, your armor's all broken and you can't afford to fix it. You can't move on because your gear is also out of date. Plus, you have no inventory space so you can't really start crafting. That made me quit right around level 8.

This time I was smarter and plunked down the cash for Plus. That was a game-saver for me.

I think once I'm finished researching everything on my main crafter and I've gotten the majority of what I want from the Crown store, I might unsub. Then again, I hate playing without an XP bonus. Just knowing that I'm missing perks is enough to keep me paying despite my usual cheapskate nature :p i'm lazy like that.

Been subscribed for almost a year but unsubscribed recently because I want to slowly stop playing the game. It’s definitely working. Used to play for 6+ hours a day but now only log in for maybe 30 minutes if at all. Not having the perks of ESO+ definitely help since the game is wayyyy too tedious without it.

I have ESO plus, i just extend it normally for 3 months straight.. the reason is, that i do not want to buy content and it suits me that i contribute 13€/month (which is not much) and can use all the content without buying it..

And if in some point i stop playnig the game i just cancel sub and thats it..

Sometimes. Currently not. My inventory is blowing up though. But i see no reason to sub currently. All i do is PvP in cyrodill and there is not a good reason to sub doing just that.

I know, the DLC dungeons can be a pain in the ass... I'm relatively nice, though. I'll try to help people through them, but even my patience can be tested if people don't know how to listen.

So much bugs in the game and discover one every moment,
like yesterday we had a small group on cyrodiil, there were high population of players in the campaign ( 2 factions on locked) and we tried to get into a delve, Every one of us got a loading screen/crash/kick to log in screen,
15 minutes later after we gathered up. group leader says: "oh i forgot, if there is high population in cyrodiil, you cannot enter delves"

F4ck me but that was not written on the game box when i purchased the game...
