Just wondering how forum goers feel about this set after the changes.
Used to see the forums flooded with sloads posts, but I can't remember seeing any since the nerfs and dodge indication purple "pearl".
Has the community changed its feelings? Still wrecking you in PvP? Easily delt with now? Never gave you problems?

Honestly curious....

    I know they're supposed to be powerful necromancers and were responsible for the Thrassian Plague that wreaked havoc on Tamriel, but seriously?! How can any PvP player worth their salt have problems taking on these blobs?

    ofc it is still overperforming in no-cp but i hope players do not find it out and just say: it got nerfed not worth it

    I think you'll still get a lot of varying opinions.

    It's been changed to a projectile, and there is a warning tell to spot if you're paying attention, so it can be dodged. (Although in a zerg or a close-quarters fight with lots of skill attacks flying about, it's easy to miss... But so are other individual attacks...)

    It still deals Oblivion damage if it hits you. So there will still be folks railing against it. Disengage, mitigate damage while it lasts, use ranged attacks until you can close in again... It's survivable if you keep your wits about you.

    Aside -- A good way to learn how to handle Oblivion damage is to run the Cloudrest trial. One of the bosses spams Oblivion-based attacks like nobody's business. You'll learn how to deal with it on your build... or die trying... :p But seriously, it's a good way to learn how to work against that kind of attack.

    Running Sloads won't make you a guaranteed killing machine. I don't think it's BIS, but at least it's craftable, so it's obtainable while you grind for other gear.

    Like any proc set, it's just another way to keep enemies busy while you work through your rotation. There's still no substitute for having a good rotation in both PvE and PvP, regardless of what sets you run.

    I still use it because im lazy to get something else and its meh. The best part was that used to reveal nightblades and that is gone. And sometimes get reflected so i sloads myself. Its not really worth using.

    Sloads is a nub slayer, just like dizzying swing, take flight, and a few other things in the game. Was never an issue for decent players, and eventually lesser players learned how to deal with it.

    @UnseenCat That is incorrect.

    There is no enemy in Cloudrest that "spams Oblivion-based attacks". The only instances in which actual Oblivion damage is used in Cloudrest is to ensure that a mechanic works as intended. E.g., the damage that you get when you fail a wipe mechanic is Oblivion to ensure that you can't cheese your way out of the wipe mechanic. Or damage that's designed to take out 60% of your health is Oblivion to ensure that there's no way it'll do less damage than intended. Outside of a few obvious exceptions, virtually all damage in Cloudrest is non-Oblivion.

    Perhaps you are thinking of Malevolent Exposure when you pick up an orb in vet. That is not actually Oblivion damage. It may feel Oblivion-like because it has a mechanic that strips away your shield (if it was actually Oblivion damage, it would bypass the shield), but it can be mitigated.

    In general, there is absolutely nothing in PvE that will teach you how to "handle" Sloads damage because there is nothing in PvE that behaves like that.
