    The writing team mostly. I love the stories, characters and lore. The OST also, and the beautiful areas. Also RP from time to time.

    I used to enjoy the combat as well, but it's been on a downhill slope since Morrowind. These days I dread it :/ I miss my dual wielding magnb and playing fun hybrids...now they're dead in the water.

    What changed with it?

    With Morrowind? Just want to clarify before I respond :)

    I mean what factors lead you unable dual wielding magnb? Help me understand.

    Not much anymore, I find frustration more often than fun.
    After watching the people who run this game on the twitch stream its very clear they have no idea what the hell they are doing let alone play it enough to be able to positively influence it.
    I shouldn't expect too much after all it is just a 'job'.
    The future of this game looks very dark and bleak, even the 'new' content is bland and repetitive.
    The mounts are lazy reskins, the mechanics are lazy, the pvp… well jesus that's horrible.
    More interest in crown store than actually fixing the many bugs that have been around since launch.
    Oh well, its just a game that is somewhere people can escape to for a while, why should I care.

    What I love most about ESO can be summed up with my experience in Orsinium:

    I'll never forget when I entered it for the first time ... It was a bright sunny day, the ground was covered in a fresh blanket of snow, and the color of the sky was that perfect shade of blue. I was traveling along a snowy path and, in the distance, I could see a bend in the road, but the snow covered mountains to my right blocked the view past the bend. When I arrived at the curve my eyes were focused to my left -- gazing out at the distance. Half-way around the curve I shifted my eyes forward ... that's when I saw what the mountains had been hiding ... Orsinium in all it's grandness. I remember stopping at a spot right before entering the city. I stood there in awe. I looked up at the verticality of that magnificent architecture -- it was stunning. I literally stood there panning the camera slowly up and down, side to side - I didn't 'walk' forward ... I inched forward -- I wanted to take it all in. I wanted to absorb everything I was seeing. LOL! Talk about immersion! When I finally entered the city it was even better. So many places to explore, interesting NPCs, hidden tunnels, secrete rooms, OMG!

    Other things that made Orsinium so special:
    * Good story telling and good voice acting;
    * Awesome quest line (main and many side quests);
    * Quest bosses with a challenging level of difficulty ( back then (when the dlc first came out), only a small percent of players had Master weapons ... most of us had no enhanced weapons, no proc sets like today, and many of us were still fairly new to the game);
    * There was even an area where weather actually had an impact on gameplay (avalanches);
    * Geography of Wrothgar was perfect in terms of size and diversity (sandy water front, mountains, and frozen/snowy, forest, tundra, and arid regions);
    * All sorts of nooks and crannies and out-of-the-way places to explore ... finding little vignettes of bones, artifacts, abandoned camps, letters, etc. rewarded you for your exploration --- they made you puzzle over what happened ... who could have been there. Pilfering through a jars, crates and back packs offered an array of nice little surprises;
    * Old Orsinium (the public dungeon) was awesome, both in terms of story, mechanics, size, and layout -- you really felt like an explorer. The way bones, discarded equipment, broken jars, broken furniture, broken structures, monuments, etc. were strewn about told a story. You really felt like you had stepped into the past ... like being at an archeological site ... exploration invoked curiosity and wonder as to what life must have been like 'back then' while puzzling over the hows and whys of it's breakdown.

    I could go on and on about Orsinium, but I think I covered enough points to demonstrate what it is about ESO that makes it so fun for me.

    I love Summerset, but Orsinium will always be my favorite for the reasons stated above. While other dlcs/expansions have had some of the elements I mentioned above, none of them had it all ... except for Orsinium. No other single dlc or expansion has been able to invoke the same level of immersion, adventure, exploration and intrigue as Orsinium.

    Every patch leading to the class skills I use costing more and more... Before, despite the dual wield, siphon was enough for me. Now it isn’t and I've had to switch to 2x staves. Now that has become far from fun, especially with the heavy attack bug. And now we have Murkmire which brings more cost increases to the skills I use.

    Every patch I feel more and more forced into certain roles and builds. Forced into certain skills, sets, and so on. It's stifling.

    Whatever happened to "Play how you want"? :(

    Fluent build creation. I like that we have thousands of combinations how to build our character. I always hated other MMOs because of lack of diversity. In general it looked like:
    1. Pick a class.
    2. Pick a gear (PvP/PvE) because there was just one BiS set. No sets combinations.
    3. Upgrade your gear with every DLC.

    Ofcourse in ESO we have META and BiS to but it's not as stiff, we still have options, we have other ways of building our characters, we are not closed in a box. I love it!

    Next thing is story and approach to quests.
    I haven't seen any other MMO with such great story, sometimes you can think you play single player game. Great job!
    "We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available."
    — They always claim they’re “investigating” the causes, but in reality they’re just waiting until the PC EU players go to bed. Once that happens, you can suddenly log in again and they happily mark the issue as Fixed.

    As bad as multiplayer content and balance has gotten nowadays the audio-visual experience and immersion are just good enough not to make me leave.

    Nothing at the moment.

    Completely disinterested in the current and upcoming content. ESO's current state is excruciatingly boring for me. I'll log in for the daily reward, maybe do some crafting writs but that's it.

    endgame and solo/smallscale (4ppl max.) PvPing used to be fun but oh well everything good has to come to an end.

    !

    BiS and Meta not Stiff? If we are talking Endgame PvE and PvP the meta is pretty damn stiff. There is a defined BiS setup which everyone will run for Score runs in Trials. You have like 3 sets (without monster sets) to choose from as a mag/stam PvE DPS if you want to be competetive. And for PvP yea it might be a bit less stiff, but if you look at the general builds as far as stam goes a good majority of the people run Master Axes + 7th Legion + Fury or Impreg. + Troll King.

      Is it the stories, lore maybe the combat or a class it's self? What gives you the greatest joy with the game?

      @Tasear Playing a bugfree werwolf to its maximal potential in pvp and pve :cry:
      I fell in love with the Werewolf soon after ESO launched on Xbox .... Ive had my downs and ups with it..... currently its a up(in pve with a competent healer) and a hefty downer(in pvp because of the squishyness)
      Oh yes and khajiit look awesome <3
