Overall healing ward which was arguably the strongest type of shield in pvp got a big buff.

How does ZoS solve the problem of getting people to choose alternate morphs? They do what they always do: Nerf the popular one instead of improve the lesser used one.
There is absolutely no reason to use Healing Ward without the upfront heal. Oh what about the post-heal? Good luck reaping that with the other shield changes.

Do you mean an actual buff, or is it now much better because alternatives were nerfed and now kinda suck?

I will say, as as pve healer, this is no loss. The ~3k heal means nothing when you have 2 or 3 hots going.

cool you PvE where healing potency is a joke
In PvP that 2k heal is super important for classes like Magblade and even magsorc to an extent. Even DK makes decent use of it sometimes
Actually not so bad, or actually in line with tuning down shield potency. Healing ward is insanely strong atm, arguebly the strongest shield at low health, and lossing upfront heal won't get you back out of execute range right away. I personally use healing ward on many pvp builds and think the change is justified.

Last I checked the note, it got buffed good. I guess Sorcs still have that.
they'll throw on a 15k tooltip ward with big DR and you won't be able to finish them off before they simply heal to full.
I don't think they lack the utility to build for survival,
ya the biggest deal about this is itll force us to have to slot a heal from somewhere else if we dont have one already, namely magblade plebs who use swallow soul instead of playing melee. its not really a change that would really make me excessively annoyed, would just have to build around it. not really that big of a deal tbh tho i dont see a reason for doing it in the first place aside from wrobel getting heal warded out of execute range too many times by magsorcs. the conspiracy continues.
btw nya, dark cloak REALLY *** STRONG. id honestly consider dropping a resto for SnB and just using dark cloak instead if these changes stick

As it it now scales of armour and with the annoying tanky builds such as magplar or mag dk all having 25-30k armour then the ward will get around 40-47% dmg reduction.
SO you'll get them low, they'll throw on a 15k tooltip ward with big DR and you won't be able to finish them off before they simply heal to full.
These shields changes are a nerf to glass cannon type builds but for some reason a buff to annoying tank builds, because thats what pvp needed indirect buffs to tanks.
This isn't fantastic for magblades in PVP, but it's even worse for LA sorcs. I wonder if they are intentionally trying to force everyone to PVP in heavy? I'm still blown away somebody thinks cast shields should be stronger on tanks. Yeah, those poor tanks. So squishy, no mitigation, always the first to die. ?

Maybe they want to kill solo play entirely and create even more zergs? To be honest, I don't know what kind of mushrooms they've been eating, but this is not healthy way to go.
What comes with these changes, healing ward burst heal is one of the most crucial changes to me as a solo PvP player.
And why is that so?
My main is mag NB and my ONLY fitting burst heal I had was from healing ward. However since shields won't last long under high pressure, they NEVER remain on for their whole duration, unless I cast the shield somewhere where nobody is near and try to wrek me into thousand pieces. I also used to slot Swallow Soul for getting that passive minor vitality to help my healing, but now that's gone too.
Not to mention that idiotic cast time on annulment shield. Earlier I had to rely on dampen magic shield combined with healing ward if I wanted to remain visible and actually fight without cloacking away.
It seems like I'll join to this new The Heavy Armor Online - meta and start theorycrafting complete new build.
