If I'm on voice with a group and no orders are being given I will give a cheers.

It's hard to type that fast though, especially as you have to mess about with which channel you're typing in.

Maybe the OP is on PC, but this just isn't realistic on consoles.

Middle of combat and I get rezzed, I've got to leave the main screen, go into menus, type out a thank you in the clunky UI, and hope I don't die while all of this is going on?

    Craziness..

I don't know many times I have ressed people and not so much as a Thanks, I say it every time I am ressed even in the middle of a fight

If someone resses you, say thanks you never know it could brighten their day a little

I'm a healer and use to run Kragenroc for the faster res and this is a big fat NO. It's your job in a fight if you can to res people. On top of that the fact that everyone can res doesn't make you special.

Now go back to the EQ days and people didn't say thanks there were issues. I'd actually average being paid 100 plat per rez back then.

I always type thank you in say chat as someone starts reviving me, so I can say thank you quickly and also get right back in the fight.

I'll just do a little hop after i take the rez to acknowledge them. There's not really time to stop and type mid-battle. When I rez someone, I don't need a 'thank you', just gtfu and retreat/heal/get resources/rez the guy next to you.

    that is a bad idea.
if i rez you, then simply get up! heal! refresh, and fast as possible FIGHT!

    DO NOT THANK ME!

    WHY?

because while you are trying to type
/zone "thank you for ressing me" hit enter

by that time you will be DEAD because they saw u get up.

Uh-oh... I just agreed with you on something!

I think it's part of healer's role because a DD that res someone is a DD that do no damage

Why don't people thank after the battle? I never done PvP so I don't understand why people don't do it. I can understand trying to thank can get you killed again but why not after the battle is over?

It often happens that you're not in a group. The person rezzing you might have left the area of the /say chat, and spamming /zone chat with thank-you notes is not a good idea.

I'll just say THANKS in advance.

A res is not really the appropriate time to type in chat, because it's usually in the middle of a maelstrom of battle.
