I don't know many times I have ressed people and not so much as a Thanks, I say it every time I am ressed even in the middle of a fight

If someone resses you, say thanks you never know it could brighten their day a little

Agree. But since I watched many ppl die while thanking for rez, I think showing my gratitude by not dying instantly serves all best.

    that is a bad idea.
if i rez you, then simply get up! heal! refresh, and fast as possible FIGHT!

    DO NOT THANK ME!

    WHY?

because while you are trying to type
/zone "thank you for ressing me" hit enter

by that time you will be DEAD because they saw u get up.

So how about thanking them after the game?
Not my quote but I love this saying

This is silly. Everyone knows a thank you is implicit in a rez. I rez people because that is what team members do, not because I want someone to like me. Appreciation is better shown by getting up and doing something to contribute to winning the battle.

Reviving is an expectation of Teamwork. Its why i dish out in zone when not a single EP bothers to do it even when theyve fought on top of my body and then ran off.

I'd rather focus on the combat than type something in the text box and risk dying again while I'm doing it. I am thankful, very thankful, but I'm not going to die again while I'm stuck in the typing box.

Ill only thank if its in cyrodiil and its a non-group member taking a detour to res me after i get ganked away from the combat zone.

When ppl thank me in 4-ppl dungeons, i specifically tell them to stop.

or...better get some distance while your resources are going back to normal. Too many time when I get back from being dead all my resources are still almost zero, so in no time I would be dead again if I can't get away from most of damage. (Pots are also on CD when this happens...)

I think too many just didn't put any points in that CP tree for helping out people after the become rezzed.

If I rez you, I assume you're grateful and I don't care if you thank me. If you're not grateful, I still don't care, as long as you get up and get back in the fight. Or get up and stealth away if it's that kind of situation.

I say thanks for the game after we finished for the night.
Also say thank you if someone makes me aware of a heavy sack or chest i missed.

Never think about typing in middle of combat and if others do ill say its normal and no need for ty.
Surely dont expect a thank you for it but you right that theres no harm in doing so ofc.

Is OP talking about PvP where there is probably a battle going on and already a lot of chat from people who think what they have to say is important or is it concerning PvE where they probably died due to inexperience or lack of attention?

In either case they should probably focus on staying alive rather than typing and getting killed again.

Out of interest, do you thank the others every time they kill a mob? They're doing their job, the same as you.

I can understand everyone thanking each other at the end of the group session, but in the middle of a fight seems rather absurd.

When ressing people I just assume their thanks if implied. Same for when I am. I would probably be dead again if I put down the controller to type a quick "ty".

Rezing is very routine and requires nothing from the person doing the resing.

If someone doesn't say thank you after being resed, it's not a big deal

I mostly rez in PVP on my MagDK healer. If I'm already in /say chat and I'm not jumping right back into combat, I'll type a quick thanks when people rez me.

    If I'm not, I won't. I don't ever expect thanks.

Combat rezzing in PVP is interesting. For one, if I'm running with my guild, I'm not going to stop and rez you unless my crown calls for it. Sorry, its nothing personal, but my responsibility is to my group, not a random PUG. On the other hand, if I'm the PUG, I'm going to be gauging my ability to stop, rez, and survive because it doesn't help either of us if I die rezzing you.

I say thanks by always rezing others.

sometimes theres no time to type thanks in chat, might be an intense dungeon fight or a zergy Cyrodil battle.

I don't think it's necessary. I'd rather have them rejoin the fight immediately to help save ME from dying, or save our whole group from being destroyed, than type "thanks" in the chat box to me.

The only time I'd expect a thank you is if it was a non-PvP or non-dungeon situation, when I did something nice for them (such as helped them get to a wayshrine, or something), and there wasn't a fight to get back to immediately.

I find people on AD thank you for pvp resses more than EP. Can’t speak for DC. Not sure if less people res so people doing it is strange and new, or it’s just personality differences.
