In PvP, I type a quick "thx" if there's time for it, i.e. not much else going on. Esp. when it's someone not in group.
Always in /s, though. Don't spam /z with things like that.

Usually not in PvE. I usually do type a quick "sorry" into /p when dying in a dungeon where that's not normal, though.

I play a Templar and I wave a "breath of life" at the person who rezzed me. Don't have time for much else in PvP dude.

I used to thank people for mid combat rez, but not anymore. After dying while typing a time or two, I really felt that it was a waste of time for the poor person who rezz'd me in the first place ( and also took a chance on getting killed too )

It doesn't mean I don't appreciate a rez, because I really do - it just means that I feel it's counter productive in the middle of a fight to type and possibly die all over again, so now I say thank you only if it is after a fight or if there isn't any enemy close by.

That has annoyed me for years too, especially when they are no hostiles around, and they still cannot be bothered to even remotely be thankful, they can lie in the dirt from that point on.

In the heat of battle is fine, although I really hate being ressed if the AO is still live, throwback from idiots in the Battlefield games who res you without securing the area, so you get lit up again.

If I res you it’s because you are better doing damage than lying on the floor, I don’t need thanks any more than I need swearing at if I can’t get to you to res you... thanks all round to all team members at the end is nice though from everyone.

thnx is implied, in fast paced combat( lagful) there is no time to do this.

i personally only say it if others passed by without ressing me and, out of say up to 20 ppl, 1 decided to res poor me, and if there is a second to spare xD

i prefer if ppl just get on with their fight instead of doing it, some1 might feel offended or whatever tho...

This, now if thing are a bit slow paced and the other guy detour to rez you an thank you is obvious.

Why don't people thank after the battle? I never done PvP so I don't understand why people don't do it. I can understand trying to thank can get you killed again but why not after the battle is over?

Same quick wheel you use for potions and food etc. U can put assistants on it and emotes. There are a few categories that are avalible. Pretty sure u can put mementos on there also

That would certainly seem more appropriate than thanking a healer for letting them die, even if they did then get rezzed

@Stovahkiin , there's always a possibility that you won't finish typing by the time you're resurrected (and can't say in advance if they're running Kagrenac's, too), fumble, start trying to switch to non-typing mode with text still in your chat entry... And that's when fight is intense and seconds count, and you need to resurrect, hit roll-dodge and vigor and possibly move to resurrect someone else or start doing things equally important for the group's success.

After the fight is over, there'll be time to say thank you. And while it lasts, gratitude is conveyed by trying to properly pull your weight as part of the team.

IDK about PC but on consoles there's 2 Wheels, 1 for Emotes and 1 for everything else (consumables, Banker/Merchant, mementos, etc)

So pressing E to rez, and a quick ty is more foolishness, gotcha.

People do not need to waste soul gems on cannon fodder for a measly 50 AP and not a thank you.
