Sorc Class Rep Discord

I joined a few days ago to share some thoughts and boy was a trolled immediately. Not only is it unproductive, but all I see is trolls. No wonder ZOS said to go to the discord. Politics - People comparing thangs- Supreme Sarcasm - Pretty much everything that's against ZOS forum TOS is free game in there... Unless your clicky in pc guilds your opinions don't matter.

I got thick skin - and grown, but in all honesty its a joke.

I might get some hate for this, I really don't care. I just wanna see the game get better.

Considering how many nerf sorc threads pop up I wouldn't doubt it. Personally I feel the nerf nightblade threads havnt been as common as sorcs and sorcs are currently the complaint meta

What is your discord name, and what happened exactly (PM one of us)? We've been watching the discords closely, and aside from some harmless meming in off-topic channels, we've not had any incidents this weekend. Certainly not any serious ones. We've actually been moderating the discords more heavily than usual this past week and a half or so following some drama.

Why didn't you @ us in the discord if something happened?

I'm sad that you had a negative first experience. We hope you come back, and that you talk to us if something happens again so that we can step in.

The healer discord has been wonderful and welcoming, by contrast.
So many constructive discussions and helpful advice.

To be expected discord for the most part always turns out like that, why I don't ever bother w ith it. Always turns out the same for any community that makes use of it.

I like the class reps, but can't stand most of whom they represent.

Truthfully I can think of only 2 individuals in the sorc discord that have been consistently constructive, and probably around 7 that have been consistently constructive in the Nightblade discord; which truthfully is a respectable amount. I feel like every channel in the sorc discord is just filled with memes and trolling.

This isn't the reps fault though. That's just what's been contributed by the sorc community.

A fair point, I just don't go to the healer channels since it's the only role I don't do.

I am member of this discord as well, it is not worse than any other. And memes might be annoying for some but its part of internet communication for years.

Personally. I found the step to Discord a very strange approach as its clearly more of a PC tool. Used by PC players. I know very few Xbox guys that even come to the forum, and even less that then move to setup discord purely to see these chats. I was unsure its the best place to capture the feedback.

HOWEVER. the conversations have been really good covering an array of topics. The reps have a good presence to prompt with questions to help their cause and the salient points I feel were relay to ZOS. I'm a noob to discord and how the sections work however I've seen great debate. The volume of which is my only problem often coming back to 100s of messages to catchup on which is all on the whole relevant.

I'm surprised the OP had that experience and more surprised you didn't just tag a rep and discuss there rather than beasting the principle here.

yeah man i got kicked out for trying to have a discussion, everyone is biased and doesnt main that class that is in there

I deleted the class rep discords from the server list.

I think that a lot of the people in the PvP discords i'm in are idiots. A lot of the people who post on the message boards are idiots.

But when I read the class rep discords, I realize that I truly was spoiled before. I was reading them for a while but many of the comments are just too idiotic for my brain to process.

The doctor said that if i read any more of the comments and try to process them through my brain, I'm liable to have a stroke.

So for now i'll stay away.

There really isn’t much to discuss seeing Wrobel does what he does anyway. So what do you expect other than memes, trash talk and insults?

It’s a direct result of ZOS not caring about any of the points that need addressing, and instead already gearing up for the next round of nerfs (shields).

Yes, there are people who actually do hate Sorc that much.

This combined with ZOS having a long history of not listening to player feedback and just kinda doing what they do makes for a bad time.

There have been bans before across all servers. Sometimes we may not catch something because we have IRL stuff to do. If anything is ever bothering you just tag me or screenshot and I will make a judgement call with the help of other Reps. We all have a passion for the game and it has become a cool hobby for most of us. We want you to enjoy your time playing and giving feedback.

Tbf whole "class rep program" idea looks like a missed opportunity. And it's not because of class reps.
