So PC players, how disgustingly OP is the Balorgh Set?

The whole point of this set was to give WWs a huge burst boost when they transform, as the transformation has a high ult cost. It performs that function.

Molag kena gives almost as much weapon damage (516) with 100% uptime for WW. Not sure why anyone would take 600 weapon damage with terrible uptime over this, and I don’t think it’s reasonable to assume players will stay out of WW form to save up 500 ultimate.

That’s probably why Molag Kena had to be removed from the game for the first week of this patch, lol.

Actually looks extremely underwhelming. You're better off running 1p of this and 1p of kena. The uptime is a joke.

1000 spell damage for 10 Seconds is NOT underwhelming in PVP. In PVE, it's kinda blah if you ask me. The one pushback is that a lot of the newer content is more burst based than sustained based, but still not sure how much PVE use it will see.

On my mag sorc with moon hunter and this set, I can break 6K spell damage while running shackle breaker. It's really not that difficult to control, but the window is rather short to get everything going at the same time. Scared to think what a bomblade with Clever Alchemist could reach (might find out later tonight), especially consider that destro ult will proc moon hunter.

Is it too powerful? Is the buff too short? Is it fine as is? Experiences with the set in PvP/PvE?

ZOS probably doesn't realize that it's using the 500 ultimate pool.

It's quite powerful in PVP, useless in PVE. Makes sense because it's great for burst but burst is worthless in PVE. I actually really like the set though and wouldn't want it reflexively nerfed. One change I could forsee ZOS taking is to either cap the total amount granted or switch it to twice the cost of the ultimate, instead of twice the ulti consumed.
Making it twice the cost would kill this set.

That's absolutely not the point of the set.

WW ult wastes 1/4 of Balorgh's uptime during the transformation and has no way to trigger it again without dropping out of wolf....so it would be a 7 second buff every....2 to 5 minutes on a competent wolf.

Balorgh synergies with damage ults in general, full stop. The cost of the ult is almost irrelevant, as cheap ults give better uptime and saving up ult for a bigger buff works regardless of ult cost.

Some really good points are made.

I'm still standing by my initial reaction of not OP

Ye ITs not really OP its decent mostly on bomblade its just as the same as a domi kena combo

Well what should we tell you ? Does roughly 1400 weapon damage for 10 seconds seem not OP to you ?

1400? At the max wouldn't it be 1k since ult only goes up to 500?

Stamplar has really decent weapon damage multipliers. So the 1K would be significantly higher on a stamplar.

To the people who mentioned molag kena. Slimecraw does more damage on tool tip (just sayimg).
Kena does do more healing though

Just curious but how does this set function with overload light attacks? Since you only actually use Ultimate when attacking could you keep near 100% uptime on the 10 second buff until overload is depleted?

I could be wrong, but I believe it basically just didn't interact with overload at all on PTS.

After having used this set for a bit, I can say it's not really OP. I ended up going back to Selene, cause it's more consistent damage. It'd be good for gank builds, but that's about it.

Its greaaat if you have like 300 or even 500 ultimate saved up. Doesnt matter what the ulti actually costs. ~1k weapon dmg for 10s is nasty
