Join us as our team of developers attempt to clear the all-new March of Sacrifices dungeon. The team will consist of Dungeon Lead Mike Finnigan, Creative Director Rich Lambert, Senior QA Tester David Algeo, and Associate Combat Designer Alec Verish (Gilliamtherogue). And yes, they’ll be running it on Veteran difficulty!

Don’t just do Hard Mode.

Do Hard Mode with:

- Non DK tank
- Non Templar/Warden healer
- 2 Non Magicka Nightblade or Sorc Dps (but Magwarden is fine)

That’s the real hard mode. Or, are these group comps not supposed to have a chance completing this stuff?

I don't think this is a fight that the traditional setup really gives you much of an advantage. I know a group on NA/PC that completed HM with a Warden tank, no healer, 2 magblades, and a stam DD. And they did this on day 1, before my group completed MoS HM (in part because we spent most of day 1 working on MHK Challenger).

As I said in the PTS thread, now that the fireballs are dodgeable, stam has advantages over magicka in Balorgh HM, such as being able to afford all those dodge rolls to avoid the fire DoT (and the fire DoT was the main reason why you wanted to shieldspam in earlier versions of this fight--that's no longer necessary) and having better access to snare removal.

But yeah, you’re not gonna need a healer with a warden tank and two magblade dps.

When they were wiping in vSP HM they went as DK tank, Templar healer, Magblade DD, so I assume this time it won't be different

WIPE COUNT: 14
COMPLETED HUNTS: 3 (across all 14 attempts)

I stand by my PTS feedback that this is the hardest HM ever and is overtuned.

Yes, I'm one of those that have cleared vMoS HM. Several times.

And I still think that this HM is overtuned and out of line. Frankly, a vet dungeon HM that's balanced for players like me is a poorly-balanced HM. There is no way in hell that I'll ever run vMoS unless it's with people I know in comms. With something like Cradle or Bloodforge HM, I can see myself joining a PUG or helping out inexperienced people get their HM clears, because those HMs, while difficult, are not so prohibitively difficult. vMoS HM is prohibitively difficult. And while I can clear it, I still think that vMoS HM's difficulty is both inappropriate and unhealthy.

Yes, we had one death on the run, on the Nord boss of all places. But to get the speedrun, we do have to 1-shot HM.

This is YOUR creation, you should do these mechanics flawlessly!

Also, when next dungeon DLC will launch, do hard modes as nightblade tank, dk healer and 2x magicka warden DDs. Show us that every class and role performs well in this type of content

So... the funny thing is, they already did nerf HM.

During the first two weeks of PTS...

• The fireballs weren't dodgeable.
• The fireballs hit harder.
• The DoT from the fireballs ticked about twice as hard and there were more ticks of that DoT.
• The shades would do their 1-shot conal breath thing during the hunt.
• The direwolves that spawned during the hunt had a lot more health.

but people still cleared it* 4 man content, at least on my server, means nothing if you haven't also done all the 12 man hardmodes/achievements, let there be a way for small groups to build credibility please!
