Stam sorc in end game

Are they still there or have they gone extinct? I cant find a trial vid with a stam sorc at all. Just magblades, stamblades, and a stamplar.

They are still really good for damage and AoE cleave - but they have fallen to the point of offering little else to the group that makes anyone want to give up the insane ST damage that NB have

Still waiting for the air atronach, it could give major berserk up to 3 allies during 8 sec ( the storm atro should work the same, ) and sorc would bring something unique in trial.

Is your group going for a top 5 trial score? If so, you wont see any stam sorcs. If they are not, they are perfectly viable, but they just wont out DPS a stamblade or a stamplar. I still believe the are the best class to learn how to properly play a stamina character. You can still easily break 50k ST, which puts you ahead of 99% of the playerbase.

I play a stamsorc in raid. Hit 65k on Ra-Kotu the other night, with less than 700 CP, no Prismatic glyph, imperfect Relequen, mostly purple gear, and no Velidreth. I'd guess that'd be well over 70k with a fully min-maxed build. More with an optimized group with better buff/debuff uptimes.

5 x Ravager (3 x Bloodthirsty jewelry, 1 x Nirn axe w/Poison enchant, 1 x Infused dagger w/Berserker enchant), 5 x Imperfect Relequen, 2 x Selene.

Stamblades are top dogs but I think people overstate the gap. Most people don't know the max potential of a stamsorc/stamDK in raid right now because they simply aren't using them.

Doesnt really feel like you can get truly invested in a character hey, meta constantly changing, best classes changing all the time, etc. Feels like its missing the “roleplay” part of RPG now

Not sure if sarcasm or not but i was just curious about whether stam sorcs are still used. The guild im in isnt top dpg i dont think(recently joined) but it kinda feels like ita frown when you dont play nightblade. Maybe its just me idk. I been debating between playing my stam sorc and my warden tank. On one hand i dont need to be on mic for dps so i could play stamsorc on the other i wanna play tank and learn vet trials but i probably need to be on mic and sometimes i cant.

This. I always find myself agreeing with you ^^

Honestly if you're good, every class combination is fine unless you really are pushing for an extremely high score or your group is having trouble with progression (then you should always bring the best class for the job, for the sake of your group).

Nightblade is still the best choice for maximum single target dps but stam sorc will always be my main and favourite class. I can pull 40k single target dps on a test dummy, obvious benefit being a stam sorc having great aoe dmg, especially with no aoe cap now.

Keep in mind with a target dummy, I was at my 8k base penetration with only self buffs (stam sorc is missing a lot). Throw me in to a raid and that 40k dmg gets boosted by minor brutality/minor savagery/minor berserk/full penetration/group buffs. We also have a bit higher dmg pool usually because our class skills provide 2% weapon dmg, while low. It's worth mentioning, so something like minor courage, gives us a little more dmg.

I'd say that isn't bad and you can still play a stam sorc, but we offer no synergy for other classes other than the storm atro. Although we miss out on the 11% dmg from mighty cp, I like slotting the skill for what little group support I can provide via major berserk. I think it's narrow minded to use a skill like arrow barrage in a raid because it may provide 1-2k more dps but imagine what major berserk would provide for another dps for 8 seconds, plus the synergy buffs the atro too, putting it more in line with arrow barrage.

Please for the love of god add a stam morph..

Anyway like others have mentioned, our spot in the sun died out long ago, but play what you like, they are by no means weak. Something that would really put us in line is giving us better sustain passively, I still have sustain issues with 450 stam recovery through dubious cameron throan and stormfist monster set, because I have to invest in to stam recov, I lose out on about 2k hp and stam which in turn means I need to take 2k MORE stam out to invest that in to HP to meet at least 17k, using a 6/1 setup and losing a little crit from medium armor is even more dmg loss.

As far as I can tell, nightblades can sustain with blue food giving them better stats overall.
