Just carried my team to victory



For those who want to know

- CP 160 BG
- One pug, my group was random
- Sorrow / Julianos / 2 pcs slime
- 8/10 kills with overload

That was the quad kill:

Damage done says nothing at all in pvp...play against a group of tanks and good heal and ramp up millions of damage but dont score kills and you still loose....play against squishy teams...only have 200k and you still win.

Damage done means nothing.....

Considering you can steal kills from the enemy teams, yeah it seems like a problem. Though a problem in the Battlegrounds system not Sorcerer itself.

Granting the kill to whomever dealt the most damage would be a start

well at least for deathmatch the only thing that counts is assists and kills.

- Most people in BG's have around 20k HP. (+-a bit..but that makes it easier)
- that means you can have 10 kills with only 200k damage done and supported your team a lot more than someone with 600k damage but only 1 kill.

And on a second note, damage done is actually about the enemies you fight against not your own team or your own damage capabilities.

As said before a tanky team with a good healer and you can ramp up millions of damage, squishy teams no healer means a lot less overall damage at the end of the match. So the only thing the damage done tells you is how tanky your enemies were or how good their healers had been working.

Deathmatch has usually a lot less damage done compared to chaosball or other game modes where people are trying to stay alive a lot harder.

most kills come from runecage/overload/execute combo which is enough to 100-0 squishy targets if the ol crits.

Lopsided kills are usually a function of being pitted against potatos. People who don't really PvP and just queue for the daily bonus.

I've gotten lopsided matches like that on my magsorcs (I don't use Overload, though) and on my magblades. But against good players, I don't see the sorc as being OP. Particularly if I'm up against DKs that know what they're doing.

The person with 600k damage likely has more points than the one with 200k. 200k with 10 kills actually sounds more like a kill stealer if we’re being honest here. I don’t think I have ever gotten 10+ with only 200k.

The amount of damage done is based on your damage AND the people you are up against. Plus the class you’re playing, let’s not forget that either.

Magdk, magplar, stam sorc, magwarden and even stam Warden have high aoe damage output and it usually shows at the end of the match.

yea thats true fair enough. Im only dealing single target in bgs and mostly end up with something between 350 and 600k depending length of match etc. Remember that i lost a match where the lowest was at 750k done...one of those never ending 500/480/470 kind of matches.

However at the end kills make you win in deathmatch not damage done tho. Anyways i think the whole execute discussion (which is also killers blade to an extend) is only valid for deathmatch in my eyes...kills dont reall matter for the other types.

I tend to look at the enemies' teams. 3-10, 1-8 and 4-11, 2-7 is the reason your team won

Until a Stam sorc seed the one msg sorc. Tells his team to focus you, then Slots rune cage himself and messes up your combo everytime.

Nothing like bleeding the FOTM dry.

yea exactly...hence why i dont see a point in all people complaining about sloads, runrcage etc..theres always a counter even if to counter means you need runecage yourself.
But still..theres no such thing as ultra op..just noone to counter the build that moment

We had a 45k hp guy in nocp a while back...noone had shieldbreaker or sloads...impossible to kill that guy

But still...really think for a deathmatch 1 good sorc is all ya need to win if the rest of the team isnt just all stupid

You did carry your team to victory. All that's needed is a magsorc slinging rune cage, fire reach and wrath and you have yourself the easiest build ranged or melee to score kills. Easier than the stamblade...Which is a *** OP class in BGs.

Congratulations, you have chosen to play a class that you don't have to try on. A class that only gets slight nerfs to skills that were already stupidly buffed.

Roll a dps magplar, comeback with those numbers than brag. You be screaming for nerfs after your first encounter with a player who rocked at stamDK and swapped to FOM magsorc to roflstomp you. Instead of making claims like this, how you are being proud of carrying your team. Why dont you attempt to look at the negatives to bringing that spec in pvp are doing. Its ok, though bro continue to be part of the problem then bragging about it

Temp since day 1. I'm on your side though, sorc is ez mode.

This was like 2 weeks in of playing my sorc compared to the above scores on average.

Well, just outplay them.

As a Stamsorc, I just play sload/shield breaker/slimecraw/infused oblivion axes (playing 2h/dual wield).

Play smart : speed trait on gems (move at 75% speed al the time with minor and major speed), use the warrior's guild crossbow pull effectively, use your stun at the right time, and you will just totally remove the pressure from the enemy mag sorc(s), and destroy them in a few secs.
