Change absorb stamina glyph from magic to physical damage.

With the changes to enchantment procs on the pts sever, the absorb stamina glyph has become an option for replacing poisons for stamina classes that have sustain issues, such as stamsorc and stamplar. However, the glyph does magical damage and therefore the dps it gives is subpar compared to other options like a poison enchant. I propose that the damage from the glyph should be changed to physical damage, this will bring it to line with the other options.

Here are some stamblade parses on a 6mil dummy:

I play DPS! Heal and tank, wtf is that?

Makes sense. If the magicka return does magic damage the stamina return should do physical.

And the health return must deal oblivion damage.
    Everything is viable

What's with everyone having affairs with Oblivion damage with no drawback?

Health enchant is fine, except maybe it should just give back health no damage.

I think it was a tongue-in-cheek remark, the proposal of Oblivion damage. ^^ But seriously, I do support stamina return to be physical damage - it would make things more streamlined and logical.

I support this, makes a lot of sense. Right now a stamina player wanting to use these glyphs to increase sustain lose a lot more damage than a magicka player would in the same circumstance. This has also been brought up in the past but I will continue to bump any thread that reminds me of this, a logical and fair suggestion indeed.

I agree, it always felt awkward that it is dealing magicka damage.

Was about to make a thread about the same issue. This needs to get changed, there's no reason to not change it to physical damage.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

Not before stam gets their version of hardened ward and harness magicka.

Apples and oranges. Of course poisons are not comparable to the main defensive mechanics regarding the impact. Bone Shield scaled with stamina for a brief period once on the PTS, and it was massively overpowered. Please stop trying to make it look like poor stamina is so underwhelming.

Honestly though, that absorb stamina glyph is hitting pretty close to the absorb magicka anyway.. lol.

Changing the damage type of the glyph will not increase the damage it does by alot, all it will do is allow for the stam cp setup and some class passives, e.g. mighty and stamsorc 5% physical damage, to affect the glyph.

Oh you should know that I wasn't being serious. I just enjoy responding to asinine comments with something just as stupid. I don't even like shield stacking on my magsorc why would I want that for my stam characters?

Also my only gripe with stam is its survivability, and maybe the fact that I need on average 500 more stam regen on my stam characters then I do magicka regen on my mag characters.

Why? Magicka classes have the same opportunity. Absorb Magicka does less dmg and has no proc effect and it's why people choose to still slot some mag recov and go with flame/shock. Stamina has no options, poison proc is already much weaker than flame but they do very similar things, absorb stamina would have the same drawback with no proc effect and lower dmg.
