MagSorc VS MagBlade.... Which is more fun & why?

I'm looking to make a new Dunmer character based on Magicka, thinking about going Vampire as well... Wondering which one would be more fun. Please post a comment with your vote to convince me why

As a player who played both (currently magsorc) i can say it's magblade once you master it. I do like sorc very much too, but magblade has way better sustain and self heals from spammable and main dot.

Even tho sorc is very close, NBs are on top of everything else at this point.

Both are really good. Dunmer would work with both classes/resource type.

You'd still need the extra stamina to break free/block/roll dodge, the fire passive is good with the fire staff too.

It would honestly boil down to which playstyle is preferred;

MagSorc - play style at a glance

-Really big shields
-Really great get away, approach, reset tools in Rune Cage/Streak
-Equipment that spawn 'minions' like EG offer really great synergy with Hardened Ward, and offer lose/lose situations to enemy players, such as; 'EG spawns, they have to A.) Interrupt EG and risk getting punished by Sorc B.) Ignore EG, focus Sorc, Sorc gets resources back
-Negate will always have a place in large scale fighting and is extremely potent in pushing through chokes
-Arguably better execute options over NB

MagNB - play style at a glance

-Cloak suppresses dots, and breaks LoS which makes it easier to 1vX especially with Bow Shade
-Really great resource return, just by attacking with Siphoning strikes!
-MagNB has access to ult dumping strategy's AKA 'bomber' builds, and compared to Sorc, does it better due to being able to stay out of sight and using the element of surprise to down several foes at once
-MagNB has to work a little harder to bring out burst compared to the Sorc, so the learning curve is higher here, and position basing becomes more important depending on if you go the melee MagNB route
-MagNB in my experience has a lot of tools to keep on pressure(Incap/their DoTs being a big contributing factor) and keep up damage momentum. It's only defense when it's wearing Light Armor is either Harness/Cloak/Bow Shade -- In Essence, a NB that keeps attacking is more likely to stay alive and win fights, whereas Sorc has better defense or 'Turtling' options in EG spawns/Hardened Ward/Streak.

I love the both of mine. I just changed my magblade to a pve build & it’s a lot of fun! My magsorc is a pet build so rotation is very easy. But magblade rotation is so different for me that it’s gave me a challenge & I enjoy it a whole lot! I’ve always loved the nightblade class & I love having a magicka character so put the two together & you get the best of both worlds!

Out right I would say magsorc is more fun. If your looking to make a dummer tho go nb. Also nbs are doing alot better than sorcs unfortunately

This is also the route I take for my Sorc toon for PvE. Can solo normal dungeons for gear on my a Pet MagSorc which is a super easy and simple rotation to use. I like that set up a lot for just that.

magsorc is more repetitive playstyle, also good in duels and bgs, but better in cyrodil

Ok, I think I answered incorrectly. I have more fun playing my NB, but playing with my new magsorc makes killing things so much easier and simplified in comparison. I'll be using a magsorc for 90% of my PvE needs from here on out. Looking forward to seeing how much easier pvp is using one as well!

For PVE magblade is top dog. Fast paced dynamic rotation, excellent resource management, and superb healing.

For PVP magsorc is better. Powerful timed/burst combos with an execute that you can pre-apply 4 seconds early and another execute that's built into a passive and goes off automatically. Throw in an unblockable, undodgeable (and sometimes unbreakable ) ranged stun that does damage as well... you can see where this is going.

High Burst Damage. resource management have be hard, but is fun class. Clean Execute. If you know how to use skills right, you will be unstoppable. Mag shields are sorcs #1 priority. Like I said before, use skills correctly then you can get the upper hand.

I like the AOE of MagSorcs and I like the blast of MagBlades.

Thing is... I'm looking for something enjoyable on both sides. Not just a topdog in one aspect of endgame. That's really not how the game should even be in the first place imho. Classes should outperform each other only through skill. Not by mere existence.

Because I like to summon creatures. I even use Maw of the Infernal monster set because of that. Nightblade can't summon scamp, winged twilight, storm atronach and daedroth at the same time, and I do.
