Housing........ are you joking???

Tbh the prices of some of the houses is insane, nothing in the game should cost nearly the price of 2 AAA games.

the currently-available most expensive house in the the game is Colossal Aldmeri Groto which is 15,000/£82.98 (unfurnished) or 18,750/£97.98 (furnished) and not available to be purchased with in-game gold, these are INSANE prices, what was ZOS thinking?

considering that they just put out a $25,000 DLC package for Star Citizen, this is a hell of a steal. Start throwing money at your screens people!

On the plus side, if I throw it at my screen, I can just pick it up again and spend it on something worthwhile. That is, of course, if my cat doesn't steal it first.

Im getting tired of people complaining about things that cost too much that they DONT NEED.

Its called life get used to it. There are different houses that range from different prices to satisfy basicly everyone.

You dont see people complaining about car dealers charging 100k for a car when theres another car for 20k that does the exact same thing. The difference is all optional and not needed.

The expensive houses are luxury items they are expensive for a reason. Just like how mercedes and bmw are expensive.

I actually like the way it is, well besides that some houses are only able to be bought with crowns ( which in a way i understand since the devs need actual profit not in game gold lol..

Housing is great imo i dnt mind them charging 100-150$ for a gigantic house that not many people will end up having. Seing rare things in this game is nice rare mounts rare costumes rare houses. These things make it all more special imo.

But ya my only real problem with housing is i want atleast 1000 slots minimum.

£80 for a home that most likely you will never be able to decorate properly because even with ESO+ there will not be enough slots to allow more detailed decoration!!

@zos please, please increase the maximum available furnishing slots!!

I have been here since Jan 2014, subbed the whole time since release and atm I am starting to become very disillusioned with your direction across the board. :(

Sounds like it isn't worth the crowns...here's a really radical solution: don't buy it. Just go about your day like it doesn't exist. Not that hard.

What are you talking about? I'm assuming you think the house is too price too high, so don't buy it. If enough people feel that way ZOS will feel it in their wallets and reduce the price. If people are willing to buy it, however, then the price isn't too high.

Just to clarify, there is absolutely no way I will ever buy this home, mainly because I greatly dislike the fact that there is no way to buy with gold.

I'm trying to remember but I think the only home I've purchased with crowns was Grand Topal Island, for two reasons, I had saved up ESO+ crowns and at that time I honestly believed the available furnishing slots would be increased sooner, rather than later.

    Silly me! :p

I now have a very large and expensive garage, which tbh has 700 items stored there and it literally takes up two beaches. The rest is totally empty! >:)

Apparently there's enough people buying the expensive homes because ZOS keeps releasing them.

I want a new, expensive home, but I'm stuck in my hotel room. Either I need to start stealing more or I need to start earning more money. Stealing is easier.

yep thats for sure, i bought this one. And i dont regret it one bit. I budget myself for my gaming, and give myself a monthly allowance so i can purchase whatever i want if something comes out. Let the haters hate, but this house is pretty awesome.

I'll admit, I bought one. I got Linchal with sale crowns for my guild, so it wasn't like $120 but it was still expensive.

I haven't bought any other homes or furnishing packs though, because they're too expensive, and housing slots haven't been increased.

Absolutely; they've gone full steam ahead with the Noteable class homes. I would feel more comfortable with the premium they charge for these things if the whole housing system in itself was far more robust. The cap on storage needs to definitely increase or go away all together, far more items in your instance need to be interact-able (NPCs/Spouses that run on their own scripts, additional furniture, nodes, water for fishing, food & drink, ladders etc..) It was originally advertised to us as "owning your own slice of Tamriel"; homes should truly be our very own instance of the world. As an example, those of us who own massive hunks of land like the Grand Topal Island and now the Aldemeri Grotto truly should be able to load every inch of space with our furnishings/belongings for the amount that they cost. For any house no matter how much it cost. Otherwise it just feels like vastly underutilized potential. The housing system in this game has the potential to be really amazing...but far more work needs to be done to perfect it.

Indeed they overestimated and overpriced their work. Maybe still they are selling and whaling enough to fund this piece of work back, I don't know. But I find it a bad move.

I would have bought if it were an actual "summersetian" landscape, with meadows, space for GARDENS, mage tower and/or manor. Not an ill-aerated sea rubbish dump. (It could be a nice dump though, but not for this price)
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/418963/how-do-you-feel-about-the-colossal-aldmeri-grotto/p1
At last any price over the base homestead castles (12-13K furnished) is utterly ridiculous.

ZoS should hear the wishes of the community instead of diverting them into blatant whaling campaigns ^^'

    - ship alone in the sea or with a tiny sand islet
    - classical houses or small notable (Mathiisen, Tel Galen...)
    - blank natural landscapes (like Coldharbor Surreal Estate but elsewhere - no pun intended)

I was going to come back and get Summerset. I have all DLCs but this one. I logged back in after 6 months, and seen the bank was full and it brought back the unpleasant memories of limited storage and bank space. I figured I'd look into housing, because I heard you could store items now. The houses are around $80+, and storage costs money too. There's no way I'm paying this on top of the $30 for Summerset. They should have thrown in a house with Summerset or Morrowind. There's just no way I'm feeding that much money into this game. I get the feeling Zenimax is nickel and diming things a bit too far.

Yep the houses need to be priced differently 1st of all, £80.00 is just a complete overshot on pricing! That's ridiculous, beyond bizarre for what you are getting.

2nd is that yes you wont be able to fill it up correctly as you run out of slots.

Dev's reading, when an update for housing comes about can we try and match what the player base wants/needs.

....The player base needs homes that cost less than a full tank of gas. I'll spend more time in my car for that one tankful than I'll spend in the ESO house lol.

They should sell an Item cap limit token in the store.

    Say 20 slots 500 crowns.

That is so expensive.... it's like 200 slots for 5000 crowns... 600 slots for 15K crowns... better buy a new house in the crown store...

Bank space might be cheaper.. IDK. I'm getting turned off and I just came back to it. I'll have to pass on Summerset. My bank is full and there's no way on earth I'll pay that sum of real money for these houses. There's something wrong with these guys, really there is. This is a harbinger of things to come with Fallout 76 as well. It seems Zenimax only caters to rich kids now.

Or at least, if things are going to be so expensive, LEAVE THEM THERE TO PURCHASE. I *hate* limited time sales. They do not make me impulse buy. They make me write stuff off because there's no way I can stretch my budget that fast. You gotta use the training toys first, ZOS, budgets are elastic but they must be stretched slowly over long periods of time or they might tear, and that's no fun for anyone.
