    I like Vvardenfell.
This one I almost remember by heart:
"Oh, don't mind the big chunk of stone floating above the city. It's perfectly safe. Lord Vivec sees to that!"

Second best is Auridon. Just because I often see some decent RP in a zone chat there. But I haven't parked my chars there for a long time

my Breton Templar lives in the city of Daggerfall. he has the Hero of Daggerfall achievement with the shield proudly mounted above the fireplace, and is a Captain of the Daggerfall Covenant in the Three-Banners War.

oh and in Cyrodiil he rides a lion and wears Daggerfall gear with his Daggerfall staff, tastefully dyed in Daggerfall Blue.

Where is it that your character "feels" the most at home? And, have you completed that zone to properly claim it? (Dungeons, World Bosses, Side stories and exploration areas).

Personally, I enjoy The Rift/Riften the best for my character. Khajiit/Thief/Assassin so being near the Riften Thieves Guild is always a plus. Not to mention, I just aesthetically find the area the most pleasant to look at. There is always a good rain storm just around the corner, mountains, lakes, and lots of color in the foliage. I already invested in Misveil Manor and nearly purchased Autumn's Gate home just to say I owned all the property available in the zone. Last night I got to work trying to "complete" the area by actually getting all the quests and side-quests done in the area because my "home" should be well-protected and free of any trouble. hahah :D

Has anyone else claimed a particular area for their character to this extent?

I’ve always felt at ease in Auridon, perhaps because it was the first zone I explored when I started playing, and I spent a lot of time in Vulkhel Guard. Also, in terms of aesthetics, it still presents one of my favourite landscapes in the game: I like the rolling hills, the high cliffs, the cherry trees, and the expansive coasts, and everything looks bright and cheerful (even near Aylied runs, full of ghosts and undead things ).

However, ever since I got the Orbservatory Prior, I’ve come to love the CWC. The main quest was really good, it has stayed with me more so than the Morrowind story, and I’ve done all the achievements there, except the Asylum and fishing ones, but hopefully I’ll get to those as well one day! Although I never imagined my characters being at home in a bizzare place like that (not to mention, the colour of the sky strains my eyes a bit ), it has become home, so I love spending time there, and I um sometimes have a conversations in my head with Sotha-Sil about his creation, when I’m riding around node farming, or getting to a wayshrine  It’s really unique, and even though the landscape looks rough and barren, the sky is really breathtaking, that I’m basically instantly cheered every time I enter my house and look up

Port hunding for my main who is a redguard.

Its a starting area but also lorewise its one of the first places settled by redguards after leaving Yokuda.

I bought the home their so its perfect, bank and crafting stations all nearby, and i did all the quests and site searching.

For me, Mournhold is home. My main trade guild is there, I love the arrangement of the stations for doing writs, I love the Dark Elf architecture and all the mushrooms!

Spot on - 15 characters mostly parked in Mournhold. I even use that little house there for transport.

For a long time I had many characters parked in Riften and also Orsinium. These are some of my favorite towns in this game. I frequently hang around in DLC towns as well. ZoS have done a great job on most of them. Still love Hew's Bane <3

It's a shame we can't have any houses in Cyrodiil - there are so many nice towns and spots there you really have no time to enjoy while you pass by. Eg. Lunar Fang Docks <3

Mournhold, the room you can buy at the inn is very cheap and its free wayshrine. Everything, except the bank, is located around the wayshrine, its just very convenient if you do crafting dailies with all your toons.

My characters are all Bretons, so they feel most at home in Covenant territory.

My nightblade spends most of her time in her home city of Daggerfall, though post-Summerset msq she's recovering in Alinor (I like to think the proxyqueen gifted her the townhouse for her above and beyond service to Summerset, and who looks a free townhouse in the mouth).

My templar spends most of her time in Rivenspire, I wish there was a house in Northpoint.

Home for my sorcerer is Wayrest, and for my dragonknight it's the wilds of Glenumbra Moors.

Rawl'kha these days as my main trading guild is there, the bank is close, and crafting is nearby. Alinor would be great if the bank was closer, but it isn't. When I do writs, it is pretty common that I need to list some platinum intricate jewelry in my trade guild. In Rawl'kha, our trader is close to writ dropoff. The bank is also right there if I need to put recipes in my personal guild bank. Any increased distance from equipment crafting to consumable crafting compared to Alinor can be made up by riding my horse. I like Alinor's fireplace, but all my writ food is pre-crafted and sitting in my personal bank.

I wish the bank was closer in Alinor, but it isn't. Could have been a great location for locating my alts that do writs.

Since the game launched on XBox so many years ago (my life *sobs*), Khenarthi's Roost has been called "Home". Moonmirth was the very first house I purchased and it now boasts nicer furniture as well as crafting stations within its tiny walls. I love small places, and Moonmirth is perfect.

I just recently purchased another house in Summerset, as I find it gorgeous as well. Just not quite enough to remove Khenarthi's Roost from the top spot.

Now, if only it had a jewelry crafting station and a stable in Mistral, I'd be set.

There's three ways I could answer this.

Player Home: Until the Clockwork City gets a medium/small sized house, this will be the lake lodge, which is astoundingly pretty. It's been littered with the contraptions of my tinkerer-putterer, Manecomb Thriftwood.

Hang Outs: I tend to hang out either in Vivec or the Brass Fortress because they both have really convenient crafting areas.

Favourite Zones: I'm torn between Abah's Landing and the Clockwork City. Both possess an artistic quality and an aesthetic drive that lends them a uniqueness not possessed by other areas in the game. They know exactly what they want to be and they have a profoundly strong sense of identity to them.

    Hm...

If this is about the zone that brings me the most personal comfort to loiter around in, though? That'd have to go to Sil's domain. Not only does it have those crows who vehemently reject reality and replace it with their own sublimely ridiculous narrative (it's hard to tell whether they're truly crows or larks, arf), but as a stout transhumanist I admire everything that goes on, there. It's something of an ideal.

And, I mean... Come on, Seht wants to break reality. I support this! Two good things could come of this: A reality rebuild with less suffering and inequality (and I'd trust Sil's sheer lack of ego to be better at it than Alkosh is), or we find out that reality is artificial and we get to punch whomever is running the simulation in the teeth for being the very worst kinds of psychopaths imaginable. That was Isaac's goal in Battleborn too. I never could understand why we were fighting him on that. I personally wanted to side with him and support his truly noble goal of thwacking some jerk arse reality simulators about the ear.

I want to be bosom buds with Sil and help him tear down reality. It's like a car engine, once you've taken it apart you can understand it, and once you understand it you can make it better. It's the ultimate form of anarchism, really. I mean, if you consider the abilities and needs involved. If you know what anarchism is in the first place, rather than mistaking it for anarchy, which would not be the goal.

    What were we talking about?

I have too many houses =.= (pulls out notes)

Sovali lives in Humblemud. I had only bought this house for free ports to Bal Foyen but she took a liking to it.

Viratha lives in Mathiisen Manor with her many very spoiled cats :p

Melicine currently lives in Autumn's Gate in the Rift but I might move her to Artaeum if they release a house there.

Indawen lives in Blackvine Villa which suited her as she's an assassin who's a little too fond of killing.

Stripeclaw and Ivy'la have taken up residence in Sleek Creek for now.

Mitanne Limax is worshipping Hircine at a hidden shrine in her home Bouldertree Refuge

Salyni Nelvayn has taken over Amaya Lake Lodge and placed a shrine to Dibella there and has welcomed all the others to
come and stay for a break so everyone has their own room.

Senyndie al-Glessa(i've never worked out how to actually pronouce her first name so she may get a name change at some point) is studying the Dwemer from Mournoth Keep

Vinicia Sibassius has a room at the Barbed Hook for easy access to the docks for her thieving and smuggling

Iveri Selvayn has claimed Ald Velothi Harbour House and placed a shrine to Vivec's Anticipation there, there would be a statue of Vivec himself but I didn't get that housing pack :(

and finally, Ciralinde Springthorn is living in Snugpod in Grahtwood, slightly odd location for an Altmer but she grew up amongst the Bosmer and adopted many of their ways
She who is only a little thing at the first, but thereafter grows until she strides on the earth with her head striking heaven.

It was Rawl'kha initially, then Orsinium (and later Belkarth) when max-level crafting writs had to be turned in there. Moved back to Rawl'kha when crafting writs could be turned in anywhere. Was in Vivic City for a bit and now Alinor. It really has to do with the convenience and close placement of crafting stations and turn-in areas. Alinor is very handy for that. Rawl'kha had added bonuses with guild vendors and the thieves den being very close to the wayshrine.
