Your Characters "Home" Location

Where is it that your character "feels" the most at home? And, have you completed that zone to properly claim it? (Dungeons, World Bosses, Side stories and exploration areas).

Personally, I enjoy The Rift/Riften the best for my character. Khajiit/Thief/Assassin so being near the Riften Thieves Guild is always a plus. Not to mention, I just aesthetically find the area the most pleasant to look at. There is always a good rain storm just around the corner, mountains, lakes, and lots of color in the foliage. I already invested in Misveil Manor and nearly purchased Autumn's Gate home just to say I owned all the property available in the zone. Last night I got to work trying to "complete" the area by actually getting all the quests and side-quests done in the area because my "home" should be well-protected and free of any trouble. hahah

Has anyone else claimed a particular area for their character to this extent?

For me, Mournhold is home. My main trade guild is there, I love the arrangement of the stations for doing writs, I love the Dark Elf architecture and all the mushrooms!

My vampire is perfectly relaxed in his Coldharbour Surreal Estate, his own little Withered Hollow.

Shadowfen but plan on transitioning to Murkmire once it's available. I've completed everything in the zone and have both houses, with Stay Moist Manor as my primary house.

Here's to hoping ZOS releases a Xanmeer house with Murkmire.

None of my characters have a 'home'. I just keep them parked in Rawl'kha.

I don't leave them in one particular spot per se. Tho there are certain locales I prefer over others for such things as daily crafting. That said, my Dark Elf warden went all in on the Vvardenfell thing and bought Amaya Lake Lodge.

Oh, I didn't mean leaving them in one area - just the place that feels most like home. My Khajiit has been all over the Tamriel - but whenever I find myself back in Riften/The Rift it just "feels" the most like home. lol

My little wood elf fell in love with Elden Root the first time she saw it. I still remember the awe she felt looking up at the giant tree growing up into the clouds - and she knew she had found home. Beyond that, she loves all of Grahtwood - when adventuring there, it feels like the jungle just wraps itself protectively around her.

My Dunmer vampire feels most at home on the Gold Coast. Erstwhile Sanctuary is the perfect home for those with an aversion to the sun. She's also a throat-slicing, back-stabbing thief/assassin so the Gold Coast just feels right.

for my main - Kenarthi's roost. she has other homes and stayed all over the world, but Kenarthi's roost is where she feels most relaxed and comfortable.
She does spend a fair amount of time in Malabal Tor as well, but Kenarthi's roost is where she goes to decompress and just.. be

My Bretons hail from either Stormhaven or Bangkorai (tho they all live in a home in Bangkorai). My argonians are both from different tribes in Murkmire, tho they haven't been home in so long due to the war, so they've gotten a home in Shadowfen. My Altmer is from the Summerset Isles, my Khajiit from the Pellitine jungles in the south of Elsweyr, and my Dunmer share an apartment in Vivec, but only until I can find a house for them. (My Altmer "stays" with the Fighters Guild, while my Khajiit "stays" in either the Thieves Guild or in an Outlaw's Refuge).

I try to park my main at Velyn Harbor when I log off. There's just something about that place that makes it feel like home. I can't put my finger on what it is but I love that place.

I bought mistveil manor outside riften ...it's perfect for daily writs and guild banking as well access to outlaw refuge

Dhalmora was my base as well due to the placement of all the services in one room... I wish it had a stablemaster though!

With Summerset patch though, I have changed my crafting base to Alinor because it also has a nice layout for the services & it has Jewelry Crafting stations... Dhalmora missed out on them!

Humblemud is my housing also

My ESO home town is Rawl'kha, so much so that I bought the Sleek Creek house so my other alt characters can "relax" there when I'm not using them.

My character lives in Earthear Cavern because she always had a special feeling towards caverns with sexy pillars and lush environment , also its located in a very remote area of Craglorn which is also beneficial for a hero like her.

I sure hope so! Seeing the different designs, and the reasons why that area was chosen per character, is just fun.

My Altmer is most at home in the small Khajiiti village house on Khenarthi's Roost, love that island, the spicy food and the relaxed plantations where even the senche tigers don't bother moving. She keeps a manor in Mathiisen, Auridon as befitting the hero of the Aldmeri Dominion and the Skywatch room when too drunk to go home, but the Roost is that little bit of paradise she retreats to when wanting long walks along beaches and the company of neighbours too stoned and isolated to care who she is. No one tells her, "You rescued King Dimwit from the Penarthian Heresy", or if they do, they are talking to a bowl of bananas.
