Let us switch toons faster straight from the UI!

What is needed is a web.api.() that allows us quality of life features such as:

• view inventory across characters
• view banked inventory
• transfer items between characters and bank
• equip/de-equip items
• ...

Bungie did this for Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 and it is SO helpful when switching over to and playing other characters on your account.
Think... I need to log off my stamblade and do todays' pledges on my new stamplar,... damn I forgot to transfer the jewelry from my stamblade over to this guy for the pledge-run. Hang on guys brb 5 min....

Once you own a home all characters should be at home and are like Manniquins, where you can look at their inventory and take or give them stuff. You can even switch characters at home.

The worst thing abut this game is having to log in and out all the time if you have multiple alts - to feed horses, do writs, hirelings twice a day and then to play the game.

Here is a video were i do a full account of writs in 26 minutes. I then deconstruct glpyhs, selling and banking items all in under an 30 minutes. Some of my load screens are really long to. I premake items that are stack-able and mark them as junk to hide them as to not clutter up inventory. You can get a list of all premade items needed at the end of the video.

this ^ over 9000 this ^ what would be even better would be the option to scroll through your characters and move them around from station to station for decon etc. i play 7 characters every day, doing pledges etc, so before i actually start playing i am busy with fixing inventories, taking quite some time. never timed it, but feels like more then an hour -.-''

It's really a shame that all this incredible artistry and technology is held hostage by login and/or loading screens issues. Seems rather absurd developers or game designers can't implement better solutions. I kind of cringe when I think about all the time I've spent staring at a loading screen. Unfortunately, if that haven't figured out how to fix it by now, well....

While this would be a nice QoL change, it may not be a simple change. The more complex the work the less likely it would happen. Again, it would be nice.

Ah the loading screens the very essence of an elder scroll game.... even from the days of morrowind the worrisome loading screen that may or may not freeze...

Probably wouldn't be too hard. It is essentially

1) Log out (Load screen)
2) Select new character
3) Log in (Load screen)

But sped up and automated. Even if this results in a slightly extended loadscreen to do this, it is still a QOL.

When hitting the log out button the confirmation window should have a list of other characters and three options.

1) Log out 2) Switch (this is where you'd have to select from the list) 3) Cancel.

I'd add to this, and I'd want after quick switching, if you were previously in a group, the option to rejoin that group automatically. It removes your old character and replaces your old character with the one you are on.

This way players can easily quickswitch between characters without the mess around. IE if you are in a group looking for a tank and someone says, 'I'll swap', they quick switch, hit auto rejoin, and there is no messing around. You now have a tank in about however long it takes to switch characters.

Try disabling all unneeded addons on characters that just do writs. After I disabled MM, which is by far the biggest offender, as well as combat addons, leaving just those needed for writs, my load screens have been cut dramatically. Also reset MM data every couple of months, since old data can become corrupted and in most cases it becomes irrelevant anyway. I had issues with corrupted old data that prevented me from loading a character, because the loading was so long I got timeout disconnect from server, and after I deleted it it was fixed.

And they are so nice to tell you "This may be a long loading time" as if I didn't know!

Note that coding to change characters shouldn't be that hard:

- Log out this character
- Log in new character.

It would only skip the character list stop, at least for this.

It probably could be optimized, but I would easily live with this. Just add a menu near "Log Out" that let me select another character on that server.

It would also be nice to log completely off the server with on click, but I can live without that since it is much rarer for me. (I have characters on both EU and NA.)
