Should I craft Sloads?

I would create a set, just in case. I don't really think much about eventual nerfs, because this could hit every set. You never know how deep some hate goes and resulting nerfs. Maybe it won't be nerfed at all, much speculation these days...
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

    Jurupari - Argonian Warden

This is the reason I wear sets back from one tam or greater. They've already lived through the nerf phase. I don't play enough to keep up with fotm. You can still get some pretty powerful setups from older a armor combos granted you won't be able to light attack your way to victory.

It's not really a question about sloads itself

If you have a set that's being discussed at great lengths, is it wise to craft it/upgrade it?

History says No. Mechanical Acuity, The original Nirnhoned, Pirate Skele, Sharpened trait, BSW, Viper, Tremor, Troll King.

Then you have indirect Nerfs that result in the set becoming worthless i.e. Trinimac's Valor

If we go purely based on past experiences, then Sloads will get nerfed beyond use. Only about 2 maybe 3 of the above listed sets still see play, even less if you go with the BiS crowd.

It's not only that it'll most likely get nerfed, but nerfed hard.

And with jewelry crafting, this is something that needs to be heavily considered first

It's all I do which is why I know it's not as strong as everyone makes it out to be. Not worth wearing in my option. Golded out a set myself, and tried it out. Found it underwhelming so I no longer use it.

    Well, that's up to you.

I crafted it, but didn't like it myself so i deconned afterwards. I don't know if it's ever gonna get nerfed and i don't care anymore. Every update a new set will arrive. Whether it be a crafted set, a dropped set or monster set.
We already had Viper which was "nerfed", but not really as the damage is the same except over time and it can be purged. But for damage it's not really a nerf.
We also still have Zaan (which never killed me though) Caluurion and some other dumb proc sets.
And even after they nerf, new sets will arrive and people will cry again.
Proc sets, poisons and lag is what has driven me away from PvP. For me it went downhill after summerset, even though the PvP patch notes where good.

It's a great set if you run with 40 mates also wearing it and chase small-scalers.

i love this! -- When sload's gets destroyed by the sorc/nb lobby, i'm just going to run the other anti-sorc/nb stuff for a solid quarter for payment. I'll also make passive aggressive comments to guild mates who are anti-sloads.

Sloads is being run by the vast majority of the PVP community, and it is extremely OP. It will soon receive the same treatment that Mechanical Acuity recieved, so is it worth me crafting Sloads now knowing that it's going to be nerfed soon? Unless ZoS is trying to really milk all they can out of it like they did with Mechanical Acuity and wait several months before fixing a set they know is broken.

Even though MA wasn't an issue in PvP...

Just craft it and sell it, it might be OP but that also means it sells really well, at least on PC EU.

So to the posters above I want to clue you in on what my random pig cyrodil group said to me. "I am not sure we can win those head to head fights with only ten of us. How many of us have on sloads?" He proceeded to talk about how maybe if we had more sloads wearers we would fare better. I then said something snarky about it in zone chat and three random people linked their gilded out sloads cheat piece. It's a thing man a lot of people are wearing it.

They will probably nerf it(not that it needs it, but my god, the heavy armor/shield stacking meta is crying like children about 5k damage they are usually able to mitigate without effort). I dont use it myself, I havent died to it yet myself and will continue to ignore it, but if you craft it you already know it will be nerfed....they nerf the meta...build to the meta and get nerfed. The set is a waste of materials as it is unless you are going up against a shield stacker(or a heavy armor build to a lesser degree). If they nerf it, it will become even more worthless. The reality is that the set only SEEMS overpowered because everyone is using it...if everyone ran magsorcs spamming overload light attacks, that would SEEM overpowered too. At this point though, I do hope they nerf it, I am so tired of the whining about it...at least if they nerf it then I can read about the next "overpowered" set or skill instead for awhile. But yeah, that's my opinion: big waste of materials as is...even bigger waste of materials when nerfed.

Craft it for yourself, and as many friends as you can. Then group up and go to PVP together and sload everything to death. It's the only way.

So, you think sloads is better at killing things as a mob using the gang-pile-with-proc-sets than say the other powerful proc sets that do things like AOE dmg to multiple targets?

    What makes it so OP?
Damaging an enemy has a 10% chance to put a Leeching Shadow on them, dealing 853 Oblivion Damage every 1 second for 6 seconds. This effect can occur every 6 seconds.

That doesn't really sound like much.. does the leeching shadow stack or something?

In PVP definitely. AOE is only for bigger groups, anything smaller and just stack proc sets while playing full tank setups. Ult dump when ready and that's about it. I don't personally like that kind of meta, but that's pretty much it for this patch.
