Can we get a hide vamp option yet?

A hide Vampire toggle is greatly needed. Best justification is that many of the facial and body markings either don't show up correctly or not at all on the Vampire skin. Let me push this point further ZOS to one you should take notice of:

ZOS you are losing revenue by not having a toggle. You offer several body and facial tatto's via your Crown Store. Folks who have Vampire characters will not buy them because after doing the preview see they either don't look right or don't work at all on the Vampire Skin.

First of all the revenue they are losing from this is so minescual it's hardly an issue for them.

If they do anything they will just fix it so they show up on the vamp skin better. They are not going to add a hide vamp option for this as they shouldn't. Just fix it so the tattoos show up better.

Tbh I play vamp, ww, and "normal" between diff characters. A skin to look normal or toggle for vamps would be the best-selling crown item...so much demand!!

Why all the hatred for vamp players? Everyone acts like we all roleplay vampires hard and are bad people but we're just trying to make our builds as effective as possible, and ZOS locked that behind a (pretty much) non-optional character status for some builds. Almost every mag toon in endgame PvE and PvP uses vamp, but it's not like we're trying to spite your notions of holiness, we just want sustain and a boost to damage mitigation.

(granted, some players go vamp for the roleplay aspects, but I can't speak for them)

Vampire appearance should 100% be toggleable. If you have a problem with that, and you use an outfit station for anything, then you're a hypocrite.

And while we're on the subject, let's get some heavier (non-cosmetic, obviously) drawbacks for being a vampire. I don't want to be forced to be a vampire just for the sustain (I'm a magDK, by the way), and everyone shouldn't have to be a vampire to be competitive.

All the people who disagree: This is just a game, just let other people play the way they want, it's just the appearance what would change, not the combat.

They could re-vamp (see what I did there) the skill line to give you an ability that obscures your ugly veiny face. Sort of an illusion spell. There is precedent in the lore, as others have pointed out, NPCs hide their vampirism all the time. And let's face it the lore in ESO is patchily applied anyway, as my blood-starved decrepit monster would be attacked on sight in previous Elder Scrolls games.

As a disclaimer, I'm not that bothered about hiding my vamp's appearance. She's one grotesque looking sorc but she's badass.

I really find it odd that other people are concerned about somebodies desire for character customization. Like it in some way dramatically affects their gameplay experience in a negative manner.

    They've heard us.

    They've ignored us.

Don't see it changing anytime soon unfortunately.

Agree completely. It’s cosmetic and shouldn’t be a cosmetic destroyer.

It’s an MMO. The “penalty” is ridiculous.

For the low, low price of 700 crowns, you can now hide vampirism...

Fun thing about those masks: You have to wear one during the quest in Summerset for the troupe near Alinor. I have a vampire Argonian and as such, his tail is very white in stage 4 vampirism. But when I wear this mask during the quests, my tail color instantly reverts back to the way how I carefully created the character.

So there are still lots of bugs and weird interactions that make no sense on top of the whole mess.

It's time to finally remove those last inconsistencies. You can get a huge amount of passives from armor skill lines that you can hide and look as if you had another armor weight on. Why this is ok but not for vampirism is neither consistent nor can it be argued in a logical manner.

Looks and effects should be completely separated and they are to a large degree. Vampires are one of the last remants of this concept being violated. As such, this could even be considered a bug.

I don't like that my character has to look fugly now but being a DK tank it's *required* for me to be a vampire. Since I value the look of my character more and being a tank is such a chore everywhere outside of trials, I'm probably dropping vampirism and tanking altogether. I want to have MY enjoyment. Looking fugly with no sensible way to make my character's head look the way I want is not conductive here.

I don't mind the bloodshot eyes and pale skin, what I do mind is that the tattoos/bodypaint become close to invisible and look just ridiculous. It prolly doesn't take that much to put the tattoo/paint layer over the vampire skin layer. I get that vampire skin is prolly a layer over normal skin, but maybe make the tattoo layer separate, so it can go over the vampire skin layer.

I say this every time and I'm going to say it again: I find it a bit insensitive that POC turn linen white when they're vampires. I think the textures need to be reworked. There are other ways to make someone look undead.

So why shouldn't we be able to hide ours, especially considering we're the vestige and could potentially learn how to conceal it better?

    vestige (noun)
    1. A trace or remnant of something that is disappearing or no longer exists.

    2. Biology. A part or organ of an organism which has become reduced or functionless in the course of evolution.

We had our soul ripped from us, so how on Nirn does being the vestige help us have more humanity, we souless bloodsucking remnants?

Being the vestige and a vampire would be a good argument for why we must look undead!

Souls are like the noses of 4 year olds, anyone can take them who has a thumb, index and middle finger.
