No, you choose Vamp you should look like one. The only thing they need to do is have tattoos go over the Vamp skin, not be under it. Skin fading doesn't make tattoos fade. There are prehistoric corpses found with very dark tatts, I mean come on ZOS!

I didn't choose the vamp life it chose me. I wish we could at least choose the stage we want to look. Being a vamp gives great benefits for gameplay but it affects non gameplay aspects. We can customize everything but this so why not.

They have skins in the game. I guess they could add some sort of quest to earn a "normal" skin that you could put on if you were a vamp.

Although there isn't much of a drawback to being a vampire, or everyone wouldn't be one (as in, the few drawback are far outweighed by the benefits), so apparently having to "look like a vampire" is the biggest drawback. Maybe they should add more negatives if they take that one away.

I can disguise my armour, wear a pot on my head and give myself tattoos. So can a vampire. None of which change what I fundamentally am, which is essentially not a dead thing that feeds off the blood of the living.

Other vampire NPCs are able to completely hide their vampirism from you until they reveal to you that they are in fact, a vampire. Not even "powerful" vampires, ones that don't even realize they're a bloodfiend.

So why shouldn't we be able to hide ours, especially considering we're the vestige and could potentially learn how to conceal it better?

    vestige (noun)
    1. A trace or remnant of something that is disappearing or no longer exists.

    2. Biology. A part or organ of an organism which has become reduced or functionless in the course of evolution.

We had our soul ripped from us, so how on Nirn does being the vestige help us have more humanity, we souless bloodsucking remnants?

Being the vestige and a vampire would be a good argument for why we must look undead!

My healer would appreciate it already.

She needs the regen. I couldn't care less about lore or the debate of undeath. I just don't want to look like a shriveled old prune anymore. I have skins, I have costumes, but unless an overhaul is made to vampires it's just not pleasant to look at.

If it was retextured, to something more appropriate like Skyrim's vampires, I'd be fine with in. You became paler, your face became gaunt, but it all fit an aesthetic. You were undeniably uglier, but you weren't white as snow and your eyes didn't stare into the player's soul. The vampire appearance change is simply not of high quality in ESO. While I would really like to simply hide it, I feel an updated version would be more appropriate.

As I've stated many times before on pretty much EVERY post on this topic, I would be happy if Z0$ would simply fix the damned tattoo issue.
Tattoos DO NOT get paler simply because the skin looses pigment. They would stand out even more. I have a ton of tats IRL, so I'm speaking from experience.

Nah, the most important escape and survival tools in the game are only for elite players willing to sacrifice their looks for power. That's totally a fun design decision and not a pain in the ass for roleplayers at all.

No it's not. the trade offs are in the stages (added magicka and stamina regen, deadly weakness to fire and negative heath regen). the way you look is irrelevant. it's just annoying that you can't really see your tattoo's.

It was meant to be that we are more inherently powerful than your average person. You still cannot argue my first fact though. NPCs can do it, with minimal effort, why shouldn't we, the vestige, be able to?

Cosmetics should never be a tradeoff for combat mechanics. We legit just had a whole patch at the beginning of the year dedicated to that concept.

Until it’s implemented yes, if it annoys you then agree with them..otherwise pipe down and deal with it

Also for those who say you get the perks deal with the looks, umm where‘s the speed and strength perks? Oh so you get to leave those out but making them look normal is asking for too much

Well, it is a question that obviously concerns people on both sides of the argument...

My take on is is still the same, like I wrote elsewhere (and yes, if they make new threads every week, I will just copy my ideas there every week):
I always felt that there should be -something- to hide the vampire appearance, and some good reasons for vampires to "masquerade" as mortals.

    Like...
    • ...give them an ability that lowers appearance by one stage, meaning at stage 1 they can use it to seem completely mortal... at the cost of an ability slot. We know it is possible, since Count Verandis Ravenwatch did it during the first meeting in the rivenspire story!
    ...and then...
    • ...give all NPCs an chance to spot vampires and react unfavorably... guards would go "kill on sight", vendors and other civilian NPCs would refuse to talk to the person and yell for the guard instead... make vampires seem like -monsters- instead of mere players with an additional skill line. And have that chance being dependend on their stage... at los stages they might perhaps pass for sickly or albinos, but there still ought to be a chance someone will go "waitaminit, that's a bloodsucking fiend! Guards, kill it, kill it with fire!" - so, lets say... 20% discovery chance at stage 1, 40% at 2, 80% at 3 and automatic as stage four - lowered by the aforementioned ability just like the looks.

Of course, I personally would want other "classic" drawbacks as well. Like...
    • ...greatly reduced swimming speed, and even a strong magica drain while swimming, to make them do their very best to avoid any "running water"...
    • ...a chance to loose control and auto-attack innocent civilian NPCs, the guards of your own side in cyrodil and even other players including your own party members (unless they too are vampires) when at stage four and a vampire just can no longer resist the smell of sweet blood running through someones vains...
    • ...penalties during daylight (yes, I know, the lore made them all daywalkers as to not make the players too vexed if they took damage in sunlight like in all other TES games, but there still could be -some- effect; the traditional dracula from the story did not crumble to ash under the son, merely lost his supernatural powers... the "sundeath" came later, in the movies when they wanted a more flashy "snatching victory from the jaws of defeat" ending then the original tale provided)

But I also would like to see some more perks for vampires. Like...
    • ...gaining access to the same teleport gap closer that bloodfiends have!
    • ...gaining a "charm" skill that allows them to feed from civilian NPCs (and possibly even players, though those would get a chance to CC-break the effect!) without the victim calling in a crime (witnesses still would tho)
    • ...doing damage when they feed off some NPC, leaving those at half health from blood loss!
    • ...gaining a "Bite of Woe" when joining the dark brotherhood, so you finally no longer have to worry about both being on the same command and sometimes triggering the wrong one, but get one "DoItAll" bite attack that also counts in Sithis eyes for proper assassinations!
    • ...not being aggroed from random bloodfiends in the wilds (yellow status, attackable but non-hostile) as those lesser bloodsuckers finally learn their place!
    • ...gaining access to a special "vampires only" location (maybe reusing and expanding the one from the vampire introductionary quest? And also adding a door to there from a certain cave in cyrodil?) where they can find willing blood donor vampire groupies, crafting stations for and vendors selling vampire-supporting item sets, whatever...
Those sort of things for ESO vampires would fit with many classic vampire stories, and it -would make being a bloodsucking fiend in ESO more interesting.
More vexing too, but that is as it should be I say, extra advantages and extra disadvantages to make the vampires feel more like a monster masquerading as mortal rather then merely just another character with extra skill line...

A hide Vampire toggle is greatly needed. Best justification is that many of the facial and body markings either don't show up correctly or not at all on the Vampire skin. Let me push this point further ZOS to one you should take notice of:

ZOS you are losing revenue by not having a toggle. You offer several body and facial tatto's via your Crown Store. Folks who have Vampire characters will not buy them because after doing the preview see they either don't look right or don't work at all on the Vampire Skin.

I dont agree that you should be able to hide it, it could however look alot better than it does and a proper feeding mechanic instead of the ludicrous telekinesis power that is now but not be able to hide it.
