New skin. Zos becoming lazy?

They have revealed what the new skin from completing Cloudrest HM. It literally looks like the ebony epidermis you could get in the crown store awhile back. Seems like zos is getting lazy at coming up with new skins. They could have made a purple version of the dromathra skin with a different pattern or something. Tired of these raisin skins.

i kinda dig the look of it TBH, but it all depends on how the texture appears in game. But everyone saying it looks like that epidermis skin but i dont really see it. This one looks pretty good.

Don't know why people compare it to ebony epidermis just because it's purple. Ebony epidermis is a purple recolor of CoS skin. Cloudrest skin looks a lot more like a purple recolor of fire atro skin from the crates.

I agree with you, its cos skin but purple.

I think need to work better with the skins

COS skin its the same that ebony skin(change color)
Mazzatum skin like to scalecaler peak (change color)
VAS and vHOF like the same

The only that see more original for the moment are falkthread hold skin

That's exactly what i thought when i looked at it. It's more in line with that skin than the Ebony one.

Gonna have to wait and see what it looks like on an elf or redguard. Maybe it will look better when it actually goes live. I do agree it looks more like the fire atro skin with a purple recolor.

Mazzatun look nothing like Scalecaller. Yes, it uses the same general design (a skin that is more like a glowing tattoo) but they are definitely not recolors of each other.

And in my opinion Falkreath skin took the crown from CoS one and is now THE most atrocious skin in the game. I would've taken a red color of Mazzatun (like blood instead of hist sap) over it.

About this, when i try to get some skin, like to see some original, not like change a bit. If you see mazzatum,cos, falkthread, vmol and vhof not are the same. You see ita diferent in all.

But now its like a copy 80% and change 20%

To me dromathra skin is still the most badass looking skin. However I only wear it on my khajit stam sorc to fit his theme. It’s not as cool to have any more these days

I have no problem with recolours of skins (I mean that's basically the whole concept really!)

What I really don't understand though is so many rotting skin / raisin type effects.... I mean who on earth wants their skin to look like that!

I'd much rather just the skin colors instead of the shriveled textures. I'm not using any of these skins because they're so damn ugly looking.

It doesn’t look great on PTS. Most of the Trials skins look bad given how poorly metallic textures are in this game. VMoL is the only half-decent one.

Exactly... was slightly surprised when @ZOS_Finn mentioned they had used the vMOL skin as inspiration as its so popular. The new one isn't anything close to this... think they have slightly missed the target on what people want from these skins...

Making it look like your flesh is rotting, or skin peeling off isn't particularly attractive. I think more solid colours would be far more popular tbh.

I know it's not popular but I actually really like the Falkreath skin.

Falkreath, Mazzatun or other revealing motifs and any of the red/ fire mounts looks awesome.

But back on topic: the real scrutiny here is the absurd statement made by the ZOS rep on how this new skin was going to be JUST AS dope as the dromathra skin. Thats a gross exaggeration and pure PR lie.
