Is the Summerset public dungeon Ginger cat the same as the Ginger cat in our current crown crates?

The one in our crates is called the Big-eared Ginger Mouser and the one offered as a runebox fragment reward for Summerset content is called the Big-eared Ginger Cat. Are they the exact same pet? Or is the Summerset one a "kitten" version perhaps? He looks a little smaller. Here are the photos for comparison:

Would love some verification on this because if it's a kitten version, I definitely want to pick up the crate cat before this seasons crates go away in 6 days (because a cat and it's adorable kitten added to my home seems too cute to miss out on). Alternatively, if it's the exact same cat, It would make zero sense to pick it up from crates (and, also, this will be fairly disappointing for those who already have). Why give us the same skinned pet as a highly valued reward you can earn by playing new content if it's already been added to past crown crates? What's the fun in going after a reward in game you already lured us into using real money to purchase beforehand?

Please, Gina, tell me the Summerset one is different cat. Specifically, tell me it's Big-eared Ginger Mouser's cute little kitten so I can snatch up Mama cat right away.

Me too I'm interested to know about the Cat, I would get that with the gems I got from free-crates crap.

Are you sure about that? I think in 6 days the returning Dwarven crates will go away, not the Scalecaller where the Cat is, if someone can confirm.

Zos usually leaves the older crown crates up when new content hits with a 7 days left. This is to double dip from all returning players, get them tempted once and then a second time with a new round.

This might be true but I think the bigger reason is the later release of content on console, to keep crown releases synchronised. Otherwise it would pretty much be a mess

They leave it for a week after release on console usually. I’m on Xbox and that’s what I was referring to.

Wow, at least change the color of one of them. It's literally the same cat, just smaller.

It doesn't look like a straight up rescale. The body and legs look to be changed at a different proportion as do the ears (angle and proportion). I'm not saying it isn't something easily manipulated but not as simple as a straight scale.
