@ZOS_GinaBruno are there any changes planned for sets like zaan and caluurions legacy they are over performing specially in BGs , so much so that stam characters are using zaan as well

Abhaya✭✭✭✭Agreed. I experienced a magblade using these sets in BGs the other day and if you're in medium there's no counter. Heavy helps tank through it and light has shields but vigor isn't enough to stop a one hit wonder build that drops you in 2 seconds.
On the other hand the player was not playing any objectives and that team lost. They would stealth around and build ultimate to hit you with their incap combo every few minutes so if anything it was just an annoyance.Abhaya - PC NA - Ebonheart Pact

✭Honestly i don't understand this ..
I run a max magica dps build with zaan and when it procs it dose 4095 damage (the tool tip ) and ive never EVER managed to kill anybody in pvp with it, they just out heal it so i stooped running it hell i even used SA with it at the same time and nothing lolz so i stooped using it a long time ago.
So the conclusion is
1) Either im doing something wery wrong..
2) The set is not powerful enough..
3) Each time it procs im dealing with best pvp players on server..
4) Good pvp players know how to counter it with ease...

My main experience with zaan is in no cp bgs so maybe you are in cp? I know it’s not as effective there but it can still do a lot of damage
And yes although your tooltip is 4K it increases its damage by 50% each second it ticks
I don’t claim to be amazing at pvp but I would say I’m at least a bit above average and I do know all of the counters to zaan which most depend on me being a certain class or having everything go right
Also as to you not killing anyone with zaan idk if it’s your build or not but im not saying you are just gonna stand there and kill someone but the added damage you get from this set can help get you the kill by doing a lot of damage or make someone waste their

I don’t die to every zaan user that’s not why I made this post, I made it because slotting two pieces of gear shouldn’t give you so much damage that it makes up for a lot of players lack of skill
there are nbs that hit me for 3k incaps because they don’t know how to build there character or use their abilities right but then they hit me with a 10k zaan proc1 -
Tirps✭✭✭✭Yes please! Zaan is weak against anything that has cleanse or cloack because of they interput the beam but good god it hurts if you play with DK whose only defense against the beam is to try to run away or LoS it if possible. I don’t think Caluurion is a set highly utilized in PvE. As for Zaan, melee mDKs maybe use it in PvE. The solution is easy. Decrease the radius you need to break the beam for to 7m and/or lower the tick damage and increase the ticks. Its easily counterable .

Rjizzle09✭✭✭This will continue to happen until they separate pve and pvp. Seeing as this wont happen though, well just go throygh the same cycle. Pvp will call for nerfs that effect pve content. Most of these people that call for nerfs though dont wanna get good enough to counter the problem. Its the same in pve. People woukd rather get carried through a dungeon rather than learning how to beat it. Its sad but true1

It’s a l2p issue because you 1 person only saw two people use zaan on your platform in a specific time zone?
Also your counter to zaan being op is that your build with two other procs is better ? Lol.

Gallagher563✭✭✭Zaan is nice in pve and PVP but I would be fine with them just cutting the cooldown and damage by 1/3. Sustained damage is better in pve and the damage would still be decent especially on a snare build.0
