There will be slight increase in the prices but I can't say the prices will double since people could deconstructed them.

I am talking of course on the long run. For the short run the market is unpredictable. Think of this is the first day of anniversary event you could find worm cult chests for 20k gold in guild stores since there wasn't reliable data for their drop rates, but after a while the demand/supply line will find it's equilibrium. Hundreds of people run dolmens in alikr every hour so we have a steady supply of jewels(after event) and after release during peak days of jewels prices even more people will run dolmens to not for xp but money. What do you think happens after several day? Due to excess supply of jewels the prices will drop and less people will start farming dolmens for money.

In the end when the equilibrium reached the prices of jewels will be slightly more than now but again not too high.

I don't think by a lot, but I do think it will dorp. When more people are able to craft it, the value of it decreases.

At least, I assume we're talking about guild stores here? If you keep your prices high for jewelry after Summerset, nobody is going to purchase it, because they can make it themselves.

I think that it will far more than double - wouldn't be surprised to see prices x10 or even x20 :(

Junk purple jewelry will go up a bit as people will deconstruct it, very expensive overland jewelry like robust briarheart will go down as people can upgrade or transmute arcane.

Prices may increase then decrease because, with the new crafting system, those that have other crafts maxed and want to do jewelry too (or maybe those that just want to do/try it) will be working hard to get mats and increase the rank which means jewelry prices may increase with demand for deconstructs. However, we may also see an increase in supply for 3 or 4 reasons which could cause prices to stay the same or increase not too much. 1. People will be farming jewelry to sell so people can deconstruct. 2 people can farm jewelry to deconstruct themselves reliably. 3. the crafted jewelry may be sold to use or to be deconstructed by others. and finally 4. with the release of a new zone with new content and the geysers we can see many players participating in the new zone to experience it, farm mats or gear, and complete quests and map unlocks. So there may be more jewelry being dropped in order to be a source of supply for themselves or others.
There are a lot of variables so its hard to say, but such is the market.
And even if the jewelry is an annoying process it still allows for more customization and upgrade then we ever had before so it will be an important craft that people will go into for both convince for themselves and/or their guilds and friends or just for the potential profit. This IS a craft system that has been requested for a long time.

All jewelry that is currently priced low will skyrocket. There will likely be at least a few people buying up any jewelry they can for decon specifically. When I say skyrocket, I mean that jewelry that sells for 50g - 500g will potentially quintuple in price simply for the decon aspect. Desirable jewelry for use probably won't fluctuate much. If something is in the 20k range like a necro ring, it will probably still be about the same price.

As usual low stuff will be worthless and the old stuff will degrade in price over time.

If it drops after the update, you can decon it, even if it's an old set. It just matters that it drops after Summerset. Any cruddy jewelry piece will be at least 1000g on day one (assuming it's not an old drop). My guess is that you may see 2500g or even 5k bought up by some players very quickly so they can speed through the leveling process. Early estimates put the entire process at about 350 cp160 purple decons to get to level 50. Assume 5000g each. That puts the price to level to 50 at 1.75 mil gold. I know I would pay that much and I'm sure some other people would as well. Every piece you pick up for less than 5k just lowers that price.

When purchasing the jewelry we are going to have to pay attention and be sure we are getting jewelry from after release and not before release.

Supply and demand its going to go up by 4 to 10 times would be my guess. Thats the first place people are going to go to get jewlery to decon. The trial traits will be worth a small fortune i would think.

The jewelry already in the game will drop in price specially gold jewelry since we can now upgrade it. The materials to upgrade them and traits whoever is what will cost a fortune along with new jewlery that has not exist such as hundings rage.
