what sets are likely to be BIS for each class post summerset ?

Not had a chance to try much yet but I'm liking WillPower, Agility and Elegance sets

Shacklebreaker, necropotence, bone pirate, hulking draugr, spriggans, spinners. Pretty much any set that's giving a lot of max stam/magicka or penetration.

Stam will need penetration in all content, so TFS (already really useful in unorganized groups on live).

Other could be briarheart, VO or hundings. Of course MA too but I hate the proc visual so won't use it.

Basically same as live but stam now need TFS.

I can see magica DK using shackle and innate in PvP. Super strong setup. Magplar too probably.

You'll craft the same sets for the same reasons, but now you can craft and wear two, there will be more 5+5 crafted instead of 5 crafted + 5 overland/dungeon. The monster sets won't be affected.

However, improving dropped jewelry will also have some effects in strengthening what's already out there.

It's a 2.5k ward in Cyro that'll probably go away with 1 or 2 light attacks or a single ability and not be back for a minimum of another 10 seconds. That's hardly worth giving up an entire 5pc for.

Too early to make waves. When we're two weeks to launch it will make more sense to have some decision making in mind. I for one will not be pleased or inspired to keep playing if 2H stamina doesn't make its way into competitive PVE. I *** hate dual wield. Tired of all 5 classes playing exactly the same way with Stamina DPS. With only the most minute differences to favor certain class passives.

I haven't seen anything in the first round of patch notes to suggest the gear meta will be changing (at least for magicka).

I tried to write a script to find good pairs of BoE/crafted 5 piece sets for my 750 CP argonian magplar, scoring by the geometric mean of dps in what I hope were realistic dungeon, vma, and trial scenarios, with Mage CP optimized for each pair. I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes, and I omitted/approximated/fudged a lot of mechanics, but the results were pretty unsurprising.

Acuity+Spinner was often on top (depending on uptime, assuming 25%), and Julianos+Sorrow was the top non-acuity. Acuity paired with Julianos or Destruction Mastery also scored well despite the redundant crits. I didn't simulate many sets though. I only tested the nirnhoned and sharpened traits, and nirn was better if the enemies were properly debuffed. Most of the top results used the Apprentice or Mage mundus.

I always thought Julianos+Spinner was another good combination, but it never topped my results, despite being components of the other top pairs. I'm not really sure why yet.

There's a lot of room for error though. I've done very little to validate my numbers. If I fix one thing or change the rotation the top ranking changes. I didn't include dungeon/trial gear or monster sets, or any of the newer sets. It was more about getting my own character(s) ready for Summerset, as an argonian dps without trial gear needs all the help it can get.

Edit: Noticed I didn't account for major sorcery, so acuity+spinner's no longer on top. I expect to find many more mistakes before I'm done.
