Today, after getting my last Buoyant Armiger, I got all current existent books in the game.
All Crafting Motifs, all Eidetic Memory and all Shalidor's Library (lorebooks).
A total of 3653 books.
Now I'm getting prepared for Summerset's books.

Talking about Eidtetic Memory; let's say I got 75% while questing and the rest needed to come back to find/get them.
Also had to wait a lot until ZOS fixed some bugged/unreachable books.

Some, yes, but for a lot of time in the past years, I did a lot of overland dailies, my girlfriend helped with missing motifs and current anniversary event helped a lot with trading (I did dailies with 10 characters for the past two weeks and got hundreds of motifs to trade).

You mean the ones behind enemy faction gates? If so, your faction need to take the keeps near the gates and so, when the gates are opened, you take the opportunity to ride to their lands and grab those books.
