Speedy, invisible farmers....or are they bots/cheaters?

why all the butthurt over some people being smart about their harvesting?

They are doing other things too that I haven't discussed. .....behavior that warranted them being reported. ;)

And no, the disguise does not make you invisible to trash mobs or anything else. You still aggro monsters same with and without costume.
    • They do it when they want not to be bothered by people in zone chat without having to appear offline. Draws less attention. /Whisper "Are you a bot/speed hack? How u run so fast?"
    • They do it because it looks cool.
    • They do it to screw with other players, but more likely...
    • Ironically, they do it to prevent false reporting.

A whole lot more uninformed people are more likely to report a fully visible person running at Mach 5 than one that is visibly less likely to be noticed.
    • Kollopi Essence (disguise - and doesn't need refresh unless it's broken in the original quest area by the Orcs you're trying to hide from, any more than any other disguise gets broken in non-use-this-disguise-to-hide-from-these-people type areas.)
    • Cowards gear (orangish shield when sprinting.)
    • Fiord's (more Sprint bonus, as there's usually more than enough time for stam regen during harvests, so Duroks isn't needed as much - you're after speed bonuses, after all, not max stat).
I run this on my Khajiit in and around Stormhaven and Auridon on a regular basis, occasionally in Craglorn.

Very possible I've been one you (haven't) seen, at some point.

[*] They do it because they are cheating and don't want to get caught

These people I reported also run a route and will visit nodes that I've just harvested even though they aren't there to harvest anymore....among other signs I look for in a bot. (Yes Virginia, there are ways to discern a bot from a human, even when they run solo)

Dude, you didn't come here to be mad about bots. You came here to be mad about players who are using gear and disguises because you don't like it. If you're out there spite-reporting players because you don't like the way they're farming, man, you're a...well, you should know what you are.

This is your original comment, in full, in case you try to go back an edit:
I've noticed a lot of speedy, invisible farmers lately. These farmers stay invisible and move like they are using speed pots at all times. They do not pause to drink a potion or anything, yet they stay invisible and fast at all times.

What are these "farmers" doing to stay invisible and move so fast without popping potions? ...or are they bots who are cheating?

It's my belief that these are cheaters, but I'm looking for a better explanation. I mean, I'd sure like to be able to be invisible and have rapids at all times without using pots or skills. So how are they doing it if they aren't cheating?

I've reported the ones I've seen, but ZOS has done nothing to curtail the issue as far as I can tell. I'm guessing they contact the person I think is cheating and they say they are not, and that's where the issue dies.

Based on this, we are led to believe you are reporting players for ONLY using speed gear and the disguise, and that you think these players are cheating, and not because of the other things you happened to mention later. Now you're being all condescending and defensive, so I'm thinking you just want to be butthurt over something you don't like but can't do anything about.

If you are really, really, really are convinced they are bots, why *** are you here arguing with people over this? Why wasn't the actual signs of bot behavior the fist thing you mentioned in your original comment? Why aren't you just reporting them and going back to your game?

BTW, I run Cowards+Darkstrider on my bosmer farmer (i have the Kallopi disguise but I never bother to use it). None of these things are exploits, but I've been harassed by people who thought I was a bot. If they were exploits, ZOS would have taken them out of the game ages ago.

They were bots. They aren't there anymore because I reported them.

Now go troll a different thread please.

I've used rapids, streak, and kollopi (sometimes while wearing the towel) - it's kinda freaky for the new players on the starter islands! :)

the bot trains in glenumbra and rivenspire are still very much alive and well if you can ever catch them. ive reported them so many times im blue in the face and their still running it its several sorcs following the same exact aggro path.

Bots are easy to see nowadays. At launch bots were flying through the air or running under the ground or teleporting to nodes. It was a lawless time. Now they run like everyone else. Most bots don't have gear for speed they just run a node path. I see them all the time in starter zones with names like ajfjsjd.
