Destruction staff suggestion

I must say, this patch and it's patch notes are looking very good.
As a magplar main, I'm a little upset that the patch is buffing staves to the point that DW is about useless! But I have no problem running a lightning staff, and actually do encourage you take the route you have in balancing destroy to make it more appealing

You've buffed destruction staff light attacks again, and lowered DW light attacks. On my magplar DW used to be just for the damage and spell damage buffs, light attacks were always crap! But with the buff to destro staff the light attacks will be better, meaning I'm better off now with destroy than I am current patch. But.....

My suggestion is that you remove the requirement to have a destruction staff ability on your bar to get the 8% aoe/ single target damage boost.
This would help out all those classes who have such awesome skills be able to get the damage boosts while retaining the use of their class abilities. I'll give you a rundown of my skill bar to help with perspective.

Puncturing sweeps. I can replace this with wall of elements or pulse. But I luv the spears, it's the only reason I respected my crap bowplar nord in 2014 to magplar! I will always use Sweeps!

Toppling charge in cyrodil or eclipse in duels/ BGs. I could swap to the staff stun, but...toppling give me a gap closer, which synergizes very well with sweeps and dark flare combo. (Although a 1 meter reduction in minimum range would be amazing). And eclipse is better all around than both for general combat.

Reflective light. I could not swap this with anything destroy has to offer.

Purifying light. A must have for every magplar.

Dark flare, could swap with elemental drain, which Gives me awesome mag regen and huge spell pen. But...in the current meta of defiles and burst, even with a slight reduction in flare damage with empower Nerf, it's still better than the damage potential of ele drain.

Lastly...my ultimate, soul assault ( I run meteor on offbar) swapping with lightning destro would be viable, I could always put soul assault on my offbar but at a huge damage potential loss, but the staff ultimate just takes too long to charge up, and the damage in deals is frankly...weak, especially compared to soul assault and how well it fits into my combo.

Ok so having stated all of that, pls take into consideration this change. When compared to other weapons, staff is the only one that requires the use of its subpar abilities when compared to the magplar toolkit....is a bummer, especially now that we are being forced more than ever to run a staff!

I will also take the opportunity to ask for a spear ultimate buff, we already have two ultimate that have very good damage reduction potential, empowering sweeps does not need the defensive portion, atleast I would RATHER have an offensive option. Give it the damage of crescent sweeps, keep the defensive portion and increase it's cost if you must, or give magical back crescent sweep without a cost increase, DBOS is better on every aspect, and not many stamplar run it anyway. There are better options defensively to use than empowering and better options offensively than empowering sweeps. You could even remove the dot portion and buff the initial hit (like it was at launch) give it a meter range and it will become an amazing contender of an ultimate in this burst meta.

Keep up the amazing balancing zenimax! I love the changes so far and am very pleased with this patch so far.

I've wanted the requirment of needing a destro staff skill slotted GONE, for a long time

2H only requires the weapon be equipped
DW only requires the weapons be equipped
Sword and Shield only requires the weapon be equipped
Restoration Staff only requires the weapon be equipped

Destro staff require a weapon be equipped AND have a skill slotted

A pain in my butt honestly.
