I'm going to be an odd one out and say that I like the maps. I was on the second one before maintenance and wasn't bored yet, which is a good sign. I have a pretty good graphics card so I can see the rifts from a reasonable distance; maybe that makes a difference? And the Augur's dialogue is a nice incentive to continue, because it's not just random - it's related to the places, and the comments are another layer added to places I've been a million times already.

Completely agree that the maps need to be quick-slottable though.

A few positive comments for balance since we all seem to be overwhelmingly dumping all over the grind.

    Things I liked:
    1. The talking skull (Bob to me): Great voice acting and script with good humorous banter

Had to laugh at this, because I call him 'Bob' as well! :D

I've noticed he sometimes gives hints as to where to find the rifts, which has helped to narrow them down. I wish he would do this for all of them!

    Boring.

    Painfully boring, lazy quest design.

I would not have thought it possible, but you've managed to combine the worst aspects of Mage Guild Lorebooks with the worst of the "Annoying NPC voiceover I want to kill" issues. Add bad maps and stupidly short range on the compass pointers and we're talking seriously bad.

Increase the compass pointer range to 80% of the range for the stupid skull and it MIGHT be tolerable if I turn the sound off.

I really hope an addon is being developed for the quest.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Oh PC getting another add-on crutch?! Yes!

Us console players will just have to settle for being significantly better players. Enjoy your doodads and little gizmos, though. I’ll be over here playing a video game.

No option of even including a console beta, as if that communitiy is meaningless. But yet, every record held on PC is matched, and subsequently beaten, WITHOUT ADD ONS.

PC is breaking this game, slowly and surely. Every new game device, like this. ZOS knows very well someone with way too much time on their hands will make an add-on for it. So they can come up with poor, cumbersome elements to the game, and you guys stick your nerdy bandaids overs it marking their boo boo go away. And naturally, the whole community suffers.

Class act, guys. Please, go enjoy your handicapable Tamriel.

i'm a console guy but you're edgey. lol

It's simple enough, just takes time and patience.

Maps could be improved for added clarity though.

Because having a time saving add-on to you = skill less? Lol you console players are so adorable

I hate this questline! It is extremely frustrating.

The maps are off. When you get lucky enough for the skull to start talking, then there might be a clue of what to look for, but might not so you just wander aimlessly.

I did the maps all the way up to the final quest last week, and I've just finished doing the same again this week so that I can actually do the final quest. All the riding around is pretty mind numbing.

I have 15 characters on live. I just do not know how I'm going to handle doing this on more than a couple of them.

    Mind-numbingly boring.

The only thing that will make it bearable is when the add-on comes out that marks all the places on the map you need to close rifts at. (sorry console players). Then it'll take about 2 - 3 hours per character to grind it out.

The blocking passive is a must have for anyone who PvPs, and it helps out with many PvE activities also.

Thank you testers as you've convinced me I'll wait to do this on console until there are plenty of YouTube vids out to lessen the grind. Sounds like using the teasure maps over and over, vague drawings and all

They're a lot more like crafting surveys than treasure maps. (Thank goodness.)

How is leveling it for me:
    - unimaginative
    - disengaging (sorry but this is just how it is)
    - boring

I really hope that by release it will be either reworked (not rebalanced or tweaked but reworked) or at the very least someone will create a working addon for it (something like Lorebooks).

I found the beginning quickly. It tied into a part of the Queens Decree train for me. Finding the island you go to next was a breeze. I found each person I needed quickly enough but it took a minute to release some objects do not mean close by when they say they will reveal close by. Not by my definition of close by anyway.

Queen's Decree is a Summerset story quest. The ones to level up Psyjic guild skill line starts with Psyjic Calling quest which also is easy and not problematic. Boredom starts after that.
