With the $ummer$et I$les coming $oon,
Will this hardcap on speed of 500 units (200%) finally go?
There's no reason for it to stay, especially with the new jewellery trait.
As far as Battlegrounds and scroll carrying goes, there's a (de)buff whenever you pick them (relics, chaosball, scroll) up. Just add the enforced speedcap of 200% to said (de)buff.
To this day, I am trying to figure out why the cap was added.
I've got a build which can run faster than a maxed mount which uses rapids, yes. But apart from the months of theorycrafting, grinding, testing, rebuilding, etc... I gave up EVERY other stat to achieve this. I've got no damage, little sustain and no survivability apart from sprinting like a maniac. But that's exactly what i enjoyed most about this game. Running around in Cyrodiil like there's no tomorrow.
So please. PLEASE remove this unneeded speedcap.
(And add some exception for reports that contain the words 'Speed' and 'PuddingZebra', thanks)

A maxed mount with rapids goes at 267% speed. My maximum running speed (stacked, in WW) was 322%. my non-WW speed was 270-271%. so yes. you could. but giving up every other stat to do so.You see, I am a Pink Flying Pudding Zebra.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭is it because of the ability to carry elderscroll in pvp race past everyone that we are slowed down in both running and moving in sneak and slowed in Running also?
please just make it so that our speeds are capped ONLY when carrying a scroll
this way we can have REALLY FAST sneak and running speeds that is not causing any trouble at all and allowing us our enjoyment of fast speeds.
please do this:
just make it so when we pick up a scroll we have a Speed CAP and when we put scroll down that Speed CAP is removed and we can speed again.
please do this

✭speed cap came with battlegrounds, because you COULD stack all that velocity to a degree, where nobody could follow. this was carried over from open world pvp and the scroll runners. the problem is not about sacrificing stuff to get the speed, the problem is that you can get that speed situationally. every scroll runner had that speed setup in his inventory and only slotted it for that one reason: to carry a scroll. same goes for bgs, depending on objective you could switch to your speed setup, which was very strong in objectives like capture the relic. there normally wasnt big fights, so you actually didnt sacrifice anything fro being unable to catch. that was the proble, that you could go for full speed without disadvantage, since the game mode didnt support actual fighting. this was a horrible experience in bgs, since you already knew, that you lost your relic, when a specific person took it up.
i dont mind it actually, wouldnt hurt at all to remove speed cap for pve, but it should stay for pvp or should only affect scroll runners, relic carriers, chaos ball carriers and people in domination bg mode.4 -
