I never have and never will. Not being account wide was a stupid move by Zeni, look at these poll results. (Yes I know the forums are not representative of the entire population, blah blah blah, there are still a ton of people that would buy them if they weren’t account wide, but who won’t now)

Like many others, I'd actually consider it if they were account wide. But I have 15 characters so I'm not spending that kind of money at all.

    420 poll votes so far.
Some figuring: if all 4+ voters actually bought 12, and all 2-3 voters bought 3, then that's 169 slots; at current price zos made 253,500 crowns from 420 people.

However what if pricing the slots at 500 crowns caused all "No" respondents to buy 1 slot (average, some buy more others less) and the other voters bought same number: then they would have sold 537 slots at 500 for total cost of 268,500 crowns from 420 people.

Hmm from a quick glance at the poll one would think there's a bigger gap, but really seems like both pricing points produce similar results. Each has it's own benefit: expensive gives them the option to have a sale in the future and get a big influx of crowns; cheap gives them larger volume of participation in the feature and allows them to remove more gold from the game (appraently that's a goal, given how much gold it costs). Cheap also gives them better user good-will but I guess they don't care about that.

I also think this poll is biased against the current price: if we could poll non-forum goers I bet they bought more than we did so the results would be more in favor of current price.

My conclusion is that ZoS will not make a permenant adjustment to the price, but they will likely offer a sale on slots at some point. Also I doubt they will add account-wide slots.

Based on the number of responses of people wanting account wide, what if it were 1500 crowns for account wide and each person bought 1. Then it would have been 630,000 crowns in sales.

On a side note, if you have 1000 customers and 100 of them spend $10 you make $1000. But if 1000 of them spend $1 you make $1000. So it might seem like neither pricing point matters. However in the $1 case, you may have 1000 happy customers instead of 100.

Not until they change their pricing policy

Those prices are kind of an insult to their customers

    No thanks

    not much interested in outfits...

i believe one is associated with an achievement so i may get round to it, eventually.

what lvl are you? have you seen what end game, non-crafted gear looks

Here let me give you a little taste.

Below is the same character, pictured twice. One with an outfit, one without.

The one on the left is my mains primary outfit. . The same aesthetic I grew accustomed to back when I was using crafted armor-- I would always have each piece tailored to this exact look. was a very easy thing for me to find a style I really enjoyed, and fit my character... And became even easier when I learned to craft those specific styles.

And then came the time he outgrew player crafted gear. And the end result is what you see on the left. Needless to say I started using costumes (assassins costume is pretty damn close to what I was already using, just looks a little shabbier. ) And thanked even the gods I don't believe in when I heard about costumes.

The bulk of that would probably be from people who have 1500 sitting around from subscriptions. Which means it's not $$$ in their pocket

Nope and wont at those prices.
I have enough costumes to keep all my 14 characters clothed in something nice that I like.
They were all cheaper than one outfit slot and some I earned in game or in event loot boxes.

The whole transmog system is a waste of potential in this game, imo.

Nope, they're WAY too expensive. Same reason I don't buy a house, or anything on the store, really. I've dipped in for a few of the costumes, but generally only when they're around 500-700 crowns. That, I consider reasonable for an account unlock.
