Will the research duration for a completed list of traits for a jewel take as long time as it was required for armor pieces?
Cant wait to find out.

I’m pretty sure those research scrolls will roll over or be implimented for jewelcrafting. So you can pay to speed up the process. Otherwise, three months.

we will see how this works out with analyzing, since items to analyze the new traits are only found as quest rewards. the first will be very fast as always, but i think its only 9 items in total to analyze. maybe you should discuss with your friends, who research which traits, so that crafting a specific item can be done early.

If you’re not aiming to craft jewelry its important to first research useful traits for transmutation.

I mainly play magicka DDs so I will first research arcane, bloodthirsty and infused for example.

ZoS are needing to shift dem 5k research scrolls, and people will buy into them God damn it even if they have to add more research to the game.

I will be quite aggravated if they don't update old research scrolls. Have a couple of the major ones in bank from crates.

Without any time reduction from passives or ESO+ research times are:

    6h, 12h, 24h, 2d, 4d, 8d, 16d, 32d, 64d

    That's for 2 items slots.

    HOWEVER
If jewerlry crafting has the same passives as other crafts, this can be reduced by 25% (with a hard cap of 30d max for research), along with an extra 10% from ESO+
AND you'll be able to research two different items at once.

I've not had coffee yet, so no math from me, but it really doesn't seem too daunting to get to at least 6 traits, which is the sweet spot for popular sets.

If anyone is still so impatient that they need to spend money to get this done faster, well, you know what they say about fools and their money.

just like you cant use old jewellery, i dont think old research scrolls should be adjusted either.

The difference being jewelry can be sourced in-game. Instant All-Research, Major Scrolls are a cash shop item, and required additional payment in some form to acquire. They should be updated. And not in a year when Jewelry-crafting becomes base game.

Remember each trait drop from different sources. So there could be a high demand on the markets for some of the traits.
Norion Germain - Telvanni Wizard, Covenant Battle Mage, Mage's Guild Magister, Resident of Daggerfall Overlook, Lord of Tel Galen, Psijic Monk, Antiquarian, Breton Scholar, and Traveler.

This is what I fear will happen, yes. I asked that question in the official thread and never got an answer, and that usually means "we'll just lean back and watch the world burn"...

you guys know a lot more about this than me.

where can i go to get up to speed on things like the "items to analyze" traits that @Checkmath mentioned, and how "each trait drop from different sources" that @Vanthras79 described?

I'm gonna be quite pissy if the jewelry from trials with traits that are only available in trails is gonna be bound on pickup and thereby pretty much blocking me from ever being able to make 9 trait jewelry.

i dont think there is any trait gated behind the new trial. anyway you will find soon crafted jewelry in guildstores, made from other players, with all the traits to research.

Depend, It's not like doing AP/ get reward of the Worthy / end of campaign rewards were hard things to get for a Pve boy.

Even if the original drops are bind on pickup, someone could always craft a piece for research later. You know, sorta like how you can currently get nirn research pieces without having to go through the Craglorn questline each time.

Hopefully we will get a situation like nirn gear, otherwise your looking at funnelling every pve Crafter in tamriel through the pvp meat grinder, the toxicity would be horrific and considering pve pays most of the bills there is no way ZOS will force this, but for the first few weeks having the bloodthirsty trait on items you can make yourself will be a license to print gold

They're not. Rich confirmed on stream yesterday that all the trait mats are tradable.

Some Crown Crate Rewards offer scrolls that are all-research.
