You seem sincere in your argument.

    We agree to disagree.

You didn't fail to make your point, but I still adamantly disagree with it.

Well you have the choice now not to buy Summerset knowing that chapters are rolled into the base/become a DLC when the next new chapter comes out.

Yeah and then you wait a year and find out ZOS change their minds again and you're *** again for using ESO+ or crowns to get your dlc.

ESO+ members might be a little miffed that they had to buy a DLC (Morrowind zone) as part of a chapter a year before ZOS admitted "oh, yeah, Morrowind (zone) is a DLC after all".

ESO+ members are supposed to get all DLC with their subscriptions, not just "All DLC except the one we bundled with other content in a chapter, that DLC you'll get in a year if you haven't already paid cash for it." But ZOS changed the terms and didn't bother to tell anyone until now.

Stop asking for compensation. You bought the product and paid its value at the time of the purchase.

It IS an entitlement issue and stop saying otherwise.

Here's a news flash for you: SUMMERSET WILL BE FREE ONE DAY AS WELL!

Let's watch as everyone cancels their pre-orders...

Just as I thought. No one is canceling over this "shocking" news.

Publishers have been giving out free games with purchases of new for decades. Some even go so far as releasing entire catalogs of a franchise for a low price.

Golly gee, Beav. I guess this means everyone who paid $60 for one game should have waited, huh?

    Yes, some people do wait.

Others, who want the game now, pay for the privilege.

Whining about it after the fact is stupid.

ZoS never forced you to buy Morrowind when it was released. THAT WAS YOUR CHOICE instead of waiting.

All games come down in price over time.

It's like anything else you buy. You own it, so if you stop eso plus you will have access. (whereas others who do not own it would lose access without eso+)

Not in a year..unless the game is a big flop...not even for sports genre which needs to be updated every year...
"ONE DAY" , should not be a year.
The problem with this genre(MMORPG) is it's consumer more than the developer.
Which game or expansion went free after just a year ?
    No one is cancelling pre-order?
You have some great tools to check sales for ZOS.People on this forum are die hard fans they will buy anything zos releases.Forum polls doesn't show u the real picture.
Go to creation club forum and talk about creation club and u will understand.

Several people who don’t like it when businesses lie to their faces are salty. People seem to be missing the main point here, I don’t care about getting a refund. If people bought it ahead of time, good for them.

The problem is that Zeni keeps going back and forth between “it’s a dlc” and “it’s a chapter, so we *cant* just release it to plus members as dlc”. In reality, they’re just saying whatever sounds good at the time so that they can fatten their wallets, regardless of whatever they may have said would be done in the past.

Same...I wasn't even a ESO plus member back when Morrowind released and also not now(was in between) so I don't want a refund or anything.
Asking for a refund is too much anyways.
But I also don't mind them calling it a chapter or expansion or something else...
I don't think making it free for eso plus member is a problem either if anything it is good.
But the thing is they could have marketed it in a different way. They could have said it was an early access and ESO plus member will get it little later .
The main problem is not also that they lied but the consumer that are "okay" with it.
There is one thing to be a faithful fan but being blind as a bat fanboy is the worse thing in this industry.

This move and the upcoming daily log in reward system(which I like it as a system) and making it B2P makes me wonder that this game is not doing very good or not at least as good as publisher hoped for.But I don't see it dying if they keep on making good updates and DLCs.
