What are the quests like? Combat? Point A to B? Playing a lute? Lockpicking?
I missed it last year.
I'd venture to say it has nothing to do with people saying it was boring and is more about the time crunch of pushing out two events and a PTS cycle for a new chapter.
Classic ZOS
Community says the event was too boring, ZOS just shortens it instead of actually changing the quests

They could've started the event this past weekend so I'm not sure I understand this. Having an event run for a longer amount of time is not any added work, is it?

They were still riding the "high" of the summerset announcement. Honestly, I'm just guessing - who knows what their motives were, I just don't think it was intended to be punitive.

Except that everyone and their brother is in that delve outside Daggerfall, and it's as bad as trying to kill wolves and wasps in Betnikh during whatever event that was, lol.
Best thing is to do that quest in groups so you get credit even if you can't land a blow yourself.

Now that I think about it, I may have to agree there. I just looked up the list of requirements to get the achievement furnishing (totally forgot about that) and that's a mighty tight time frame. Especially that pig one - that took me several tries and you can only do it once a day.

I'd have preferred more quests to it to give variety, but there was nothing wrong with the event as it was.
It was people just complaining because they weren't instantly given things, hate questing or don't ever want to leave Cyrodiil and when they do they get grouchy.

I have to agree with this. That argument makes no sense.

Oh man, yeah i forgot about that pig achievement. Definitely took me more than 4 days the first time around to get that one on my main. See this is what I mean tho. This really isn't fair to newer players who hadn't been able to experience the full-length festival.

I am neither of those things and I found the event incredibly boring after like 3 days of doing it
I've farmed for hundreds of hours for sharp weapon drops, morrowind/cwc funishings, so I have no problem not receiving goodies instantly
I love questing, although I do dislike how ridiculously easy questing can be. Especially repetitive quests.
And I wasn't really PvPing during the event last year.
It's just boring to do the same repetitive quests on multiple characters every day. One you do all the quests, there's nothing to get out of it other than drops
Maybe they should make it so that each day a new quest is available, making you actually look forward to the next day. But meh idk, they'd still probably find a way to make it boring

You could....ya know....just not do it if it bores you so much?
Why should everyone else have to suffer? It's not like you're required to do it, even from a progression stand point.
