Well there is still the speculation it's short because we have the anniversary event coming up soon (maybe right after).
Does suck though as I am away for the weekend and not sure if I will be able to log in and do a quest or two a day.
Wasn't it only 4 days long last year? I remember my only time to enjoy it was on the weekend, which gave me little time to use the XP gain.
Thankfully, I have the pie, so I won't feel rushed to partake.
Could be they don't want two weeks of 100% XP this time? I don't know. The change in duration sucks though, especially during a holiday. Ah well, always next year.Apache_Kid wrote: »Well there is still the speculation it's short because we have the anniversary event coming up soon (maybe right after).

We had both events pretty close together last year and jesters festival was way longer than this last year.
Correct. It should be "soon" as well.Peekachu99 wrote: »I’m more interested in the anniversary event for the new motif. That’s the Jubilee, yes?

Yeah they run the event on April Fools even though technically the in game date is later in the month (at least I believe that's the case lore wise).Apache_Kid wrote: »Could be they don't want two weeks of 100% XP this time? It's just very strange to me that they would choose to do this over Easter weekend when many people are traveling. If they were going to do this for one weekend it should've been last weekend. It's a pretty bad oversight in my opinion. What was the problem with last weekend? Did no one in any meeting bring up the Easter holiday? You would think they would want as many players to be able to take part in it as possible.
Edit: If they did this all just because April Fools is Sunday then just El Oh El

The Jester's Festival is designed to incorporate April Fool's Day. Unfortunately this is falling on Easter this year.
Additionally a LOT of people complained about how "boring" it was last year and i think that this plays in to the decision to make this one shorter.
It sucks it's going to be short but maybe if there weren't so many plague slingers on the forums they may have just modified it a little rather than make it so short.
My only hope for this one is to get less of the banners.
And maybe they'll increase the length of the aniversary one as less people complain about it and there's more to obtain.

@Colecovision three per day as per update in the main thread.Colecovision wrote: »How many boxes can each character get each day?

Does it just sound like it or are we actually not able to do 3 quests per day per character anymore?
And another question to this:Finally, during the event, you can also acquire Jester's Large (15,000 gold) and Small Trees (5,000 gold) from the Achievement Vendor, Heralda Garscroft, found in Alliance Capitals.
Does that mean the tree furnishings are removed from the vendor after the festival period? Haven't they been there all the year for purchase as long as the festival achievements were completed?
The article is a bit confusing to me.
Sorry about the confusion! We were a little imprecise.
You can definitely do 3 quests per day per character.
Technically, you can purchase the trees from the vendor at any time, but you can only get the Achievements required to purchase the trees during the event.
Just in case you don't have enough Gold during the event period, we allow you to buy the Achievement items like these trees at any time.

I have to agree with this. That argument makes no sense.

I mean, we have no guarantee that this was the exact thinking behind it, but i remember that this was the event where the foruns went mad with people complaining about how boring it was.
I'm in full agreement with you that this event should be around 7-10 days in length. I enjoy having the extra xp giving quests and double xp scrolls, pies, cakes etc. to level skills and toons
