race ability

if I remember this game had race abilities at some point could be wrong but what if they came out with racial ultimate's
all cost around 125 ults
alters - increase spell dmg and recovery 400 for 8 seconds
argonains- increases all recovery by 600 for 8 seconds
bosmer- increases weapon crit and crit dmg by 20% for 8s seconds
Bretons- obsorbs 50% dmg taken and gains as magicka for 8 seconds
dunmer- grats a flame cloak dealing x flame dmg per second in 8m radius and increases weapon and spell dmg by 300 for 8 seconds
imperials- all attacks heal you for 75% of dmg and reduces dmg by 20% for 8 seconds
kajiiht - all attacks have 100% crit and increases movement speed by 15% for 8 seconds
nords- lets out a battle roar fearing all enemies in 10m radius and reduces dmg taken by 30% for and group for 8 seconds
orsimer - grats major major berserk and removes all snares and roots and immune to cc and heals x per sec for 8 seconds
redguards- increases weapon dmg and recovery 400 for 8 seconds


I know values and time would need tweaking

    I like the idea of Racial ults, but I'd prefer to see them be thematic rather than just stupidly strong buffs.

    (That Orc one is honestly disgusting)

    not a bad idea, would be a good way of giving less ideal races something unique.

    That is a good point and also when an ultimate is sooo powerfull that it just by itself shuts down an opponent, you can't fix it by changing cooldown. Remember for example, 2h ult stamblades one shotting people? Just a quick example here to why cost efficiency isn't always the key to balance.

    I realize imaginating an ultimate for each race is very tough, but I would rather not have it if its going to be severely imbalanced.

    If there are to be racial ultimates... why not go with at least some of that TES had as racial skills before? Like the dunmer being able to call on an ancestral spirit for aid and protection, or the imperials charm skill, or bosmers beast handling abilities, etc.?
    Something along the "classic" abilities, not the current passives...

    Actually that matters little - any "racial ultimates" would have to be balanced as all other ultimates to be viable anyhow.

    The powers in other TES games were balanced against each other, so that is not really equivalent anyhow...

    And I think I recall, not ever race actualyl had a active power. Like argonians, they had "wather breathing", but it was not always an active power, I do seem to recall that in some games they just had it passively all the time... I am also not sure if the altmer had one, or just always some passive magic enhancement. Well, I guess I always played dunmer in TES games, so... I probaly would not know all that well about the others.

    Personally I would not miss any "racial ultimates" - I would prefer them to leave them off entirely, and just give us more skill lines, with more ultimates for those... "prestige class" skill lines, and additional weapon skill lines, and more guild skill lines... no surprise there, huh? ;)

    there TL:DR fixed...
    also a dunmer that proc ulti when zaan procs seems very legit...also orcs with dragon+potentaes its also legit.

    P.S. I really hope Zo$ ignore these kind of inspirational threads...sure the idea its ok-ish but not like this...clearly not like this...
