If the "Psijic Order" turns out to be a new Class. (Necromancer Speculation)

In response to this thread below, I have reason to believe that with the speculated "Psijic Order skill line" it may be possible to play as a potential necromancer ourselves.

here is my thoughts on this:

"Ever since I saw this thread, I had started thinking & soon enough, an image popped into my head, one that many Vestiges are all too familiar with, I can give you one simple word for this, & that word is: Mannimarco!
if the so called Psijic Order Skill line turns out to be a new class, then that is exactly when it hit me, Zenimax could very well make the Psijic Order a class & with it, include Necromancy as one of the three potential class skill lines to use, as speaking lore-wise, Mannimarco used to be a former Psijic until his exilation from the summerset isles due to his dabbling in the necromantic arts & thus, became the King of Worms in that logistical sense"

In short: Mannimarco's Lore could be directly tied to one of three possible class skill lines should the Psijic Order skill line turn out to be a new class. Putting it simply, players "could" end up becoming the ideal necromancer of their dreams sooner than they think depending on Zenimax's outlook of the scenario.

But here is the poll question:

If the "Psijic Order" turns out to be a new class, Could it be possible to make one of the three class skill lines "Necromancer" in relation to Mannimarco's Lore? (of how he went from Psijic to King of Worms.)

Honestly, I'm not sure what your point is. You seem to think that something in a skill line dealing with the Psijic Order should instead focus on one of its students who was exiled from the Order for necromancy, something that the lore from Oblivion states is basically heresy to the Psijic Order.

The Psijics exiled/expelled/kicked out Mannimarco. Why should their skill line have anything to do with Mannimarco? He's not a member of the Psijic Order anymore.

(Vanus Galerion also left the Psijic Order to pursue his own Mages Guild, so I'm hoping the skill line is distinct from the MAges Guild as well)

The datamining indicates that it will be a skill line rather than a class, but I suppose we won't know for sure until ZOS makes the Chapter announcement.

If you've seen the older threads on the Necromancer classes, you've probably read some of my comments, yeah. I'm perfectly okay with the idea of a Necromancy class. I just don't think that the Psijic Order's lore supports the inclusion of such a thing.

So I'm okay with the idea of a necromancy class or skill line. I disagree with your suggestion that it should be included in the Psijic Order, due the Order's lore.

I can partly agree there, which is why it is also possible that if the Psijic order turns out to be just a skill line similar to others such as the mages guild skill line, whats to stop Zenimax from creating another skill line alongside that which revolves around Necromancy based on Mannimarco's lore, which could be tied to

post-game content that ties directly to the vestiges decision before that final confrontation against molag bal (you know, the one where the vestige has to choose whether to leave Mannimarco to his torment or free him.)

And I would actually like to play a necromancer, provided its not a cheap, uninspired statball like warden was.

I would love to see a Necromancer class in Elder Scrolls. Necromancy is such a significant part of the lore or enemies that you encounter it just makes sense.

I can see it summoning skeletons from enemies just slayed ...that would be cool

They can't just keep introducing a new class every year, the Warden was a massive failure when it came to usability. The balancing alone is difficult. The Psijic Order is most likely going to be a new Guild Skill Tree, same as Thieve's and Brotherhood.

I find it highly unlikely that the Psijics would be involved in Necromancy based upon other references in the series. It is more likely that an appearance of the Sload will pop up and the Psijics will be trying to use the Vestige/Hero to help deal with THAT. It is also likely these aforementioned Sload will be working in concert with Clavicus, Vaermina, Mephala or Nocturnal since it seems these are involved in the post-Coldharbor incident. Either this or one of these daedra will be taking advantage of an opportunity opened up by Sload incursions.

I'm personally hopeful that a Necromancer class is not released. We don't need more classes we need more skill lines. Deep rich skill lines which hopefully include jewelry craft and spellcrafting, and maybe a little weapon mastery/techniques.

We don't need yet another class, Psijic will NOT be necromancy. In fact, Mannimarco was dispelled for being a Necromancer, Psijic's do not practice this foul magic.

Which leads us to the next point: Necromancy is illegal. I don't think, ZoS will allow everyone to openly run around and do that.
Psijic will be a guild skill line and it's best this way.

Given the only necromancy powers we have seen from npcs are:

Summons (Bone Lord, Flesh Atro, Skeletons & zombies)

AOE CC hands clawing from the ground.

These could be handled with proc sets and spellcrafting rather than full necro class.

I think as a selling point, they would make Necromancer a separate class. Why have one that does both, where you can split it up and make two separate products that you can sell.

Plus I do think Psijic order is going to be a guild, like the mages, fighters guild etc...
