I've never really bought crown crates, but I gave it a shot. I bought 15, cause I wanted that shadow senche thing that apparently, you cannot buy, but just have to "get".
Yeah, 15 crates and I got nothing cool. It really is like gambling, but honestly, it's a pretty crappy system.. just let me buy what I want.

2x Lightning Horse (from my first ever pack of 15 which made me think rates were much better than they were)
1x Dwemer Senche
I normally buy one pack of 15 each season if they have enough items I would like in them. I skipped the nature ones as I only wanted the Daedra banner from them and had enough gems for that.

In the last round of crates, 0.24% was the "chance per crate" to get 1 Radiant Apex mount (out of a sample of 13,000+ crates).

Nothing since....
But then again they only get my eso+ crowns when there is nothing else interesting on the store that month.

I've never known anyone who got a Radiant Apex, which is a shame. I wish there was a way to buy those with gems, but I guess they would lose the cool factor.0 -

3) Wasn't playing mid-to-late 2017 so missed the Dwarven and Halloween(?) crates

My typical buying pattern is a 15 pack a couple times a season, usually with leftover Crowns from subscriptions or after a Crown sale, after I buy cosmetics, houses, etc.0 -

I've managed to pull several of the non-apex mounts, but they were all ones I had purchased outright previously. They give 33 gems, so I've managed to save up over 200 gems from just free crates.0 -

I've gotten the storm atro senche, skeletal guar, and flame guar.

kinguardian✭✭✭✭I really really wanted one of those 3 special mounts. I wished for the senche most but ok I wouldn't make a fuss if it was the wolf or horse. I bought a total of 60 crates plus the 3 free ones and not one mount. I got tattoos, clothing, pets and some other stuff but not 1 mount.
So I gave up. In the past I often got a mount when I bought crates, now I really badly wanted the one and I bought a *** load and nothing. Although I never realised how low the drop rate was though. I must always been lucky and then I didn't even really wanted what they dropped.

Storm Atronach: 15
Wild Hunt: 15
Dwarven: 15 + 6 I think.
Reapers: 15 + 3 I think.
Flame Atronach: 15 + 3 I think.
Scalecaller: 15 + 3 I think.
So roughly 105 crown crates opened. I received my FIRST EVER apex mount last night (I won't complain that it's a camel which was the one I least wanted too
).
So for worst case scenario if I bought each crown crate individually at 400 crowns that would be 42,000 crowns. If I purchased crowns at the lowest rate of 750 for $7.99 it would have cost me $447.44 of real cash to have received one apex mount.
