Fishing was implemented for people bored like you. Unless you wanna try something completely new, such as reading a book. But that requires turning the machine off.

Or you can fish and read at the same time. That's how I do it. :)

I also see some some other games (Tera) getting into the PS4 / Xbox likely very soon, so maybe some enticements will be in the offering here in the future...Flight, I SERIOSLY doubt it, but it would be nice.

Eventually a polished MMO will come out in competition. ESO has benefited from a lack of polished competition as most things here work despite the cash grabs for vanity items.

This very same conversation occurred in WoW of course. And Wrath of Lich King saw flying mounts introduced IIRC. It was some of the best moments exploring in ANY MMO.

It would have to be a well thought out design goal, and likely compartmentalized in Zone(s) designed from the ground up with flying in mind...

It was actually introduced with Burning Crusade.

I think flying in ESO would kind of break the world. The world, the environments and the design. All of it was made for a "be on the ground" system. So no, I am against flying. Unless the world of ESO somehow changes to compensate flying.

They have to give jet packs and planes. Probably it would be more lore friendly. Just kidding.

They have to add flying and sailing into the game in lore friendly way. It will improve user experience. They have to add more interactions with NPCs like skyrim. Add jerks like miaq and nazeem. NPCs are totally forgettable. Guards are simply not interactive and behave like robot. Environment is simply boring.

Well, flying mounts are "Non-Lore" period. There was some sailing in TES:Redguard, but that was just one game out of 10.
Mi'aq is in ESO. Sailing and ship battles is in ESO in one of the DC quests.
ESO has more NPC's than other TES Games and do you stop and listen to them? The writers did a GREAT job with dialogs!
    They have to add flying
Why? Only TES:5 had it and you have to be Dragonborn to do it and it is only for a short time.
In the Mundas Universe, no, flying is not lore friendly in any way..
Note: Levitation from TES;3 doesn't count...:)

In the list of things to be added to the game, flying would be very low/at the bottom of the list.

They have zones, dlc's, dungeons, new systems to create/put into place for the next few years before they even might bring this to the board for review (in a sense).

Would it be cool......hell yes!....but think as mentioned above by a few people think it will be years down the line.

Hey with spell crafting we might get a small levitation one to quench our thirst...like everything else we will just have to wait and see :)

I'd prefer actual open exploration over flying. No loading screens between 'open' zones, if there's a gate between zones a loading screen is okay. I'd like to be able to swim between zones separated by narrow rivers (slaughterfish barriers are stupid) and to actually feel like I'm on a single continent, not isolated and separate regions.

My big complaint when doing beta, all the zones are instanced, it doesn't feel like I'm exploring Tamriel, or in a MMO.
