Replacing Snakeblood with a hireling passive would be awesome. Who crafts potions with negative effects anyways?

When running node routes, it's always the alchemy ingredients that are left behind in a populous area including most often run such as the starter areas and first major cities. Granted, you will always find more in DLC (the exception being Craglorn though alchemy is generally left behind there as well). I see them constantly compared to wood/ore/rune/cloth.

Tempers and kuta are not even alchemy ingredients.
I was suggesting that, if you don't like farming Tel Var or alchemy ingredients, you might farm something else that you can trade, in case you find that easier. I don't do that, so I can't advise on other ways of making gold. I was only pointing out that there is a ready market for - particularly - other materials. If you can make gold another way, you'd just buy whatever reagents you need in guild stores.

I don't think ZOS will ever fully get rid of all types of grinding in the game. That's kind of the essence of MMOs, isn't it? From my point of view, grinding for alchemy reagents is a complete non-issue though. To be honest, the people who I imagine really have a hard time with it are the pure PvEers. As a PvPer, which both you and Vapirko seem to be, I don't get it. Just spend some time in IC.

This might be the best post on this thread. He/she is dead on. This game is full of commodities, whether its a tempering alloy or a columbine, you have tons of different items with pretty established market prices and a common currency, gold. A tempering allow can be converted to gold which can converted to flowers. x(temp alloy)=y(Columbine), you just have to be the middle man. The point is that you might absolutely hate the way you get flowers in this game, I get it, farming sucks. This thread has perhaps opened your eyes to a more efficient way (telvar satchels) to get them directly, but the other option is to farm gold and buy them. Other than surveys, I never mindlessly farm. It's dead boring and is essentially the lowest common denominator when making gold, because it's so easy a bot can do it.

What you need to do is fine some method of making gold in this game. For some people, its telvar. For others, its farming trials. For myself, it is master writs (plus a bit of the first two). The richest people in ESO flip items. You need to figure out which you are best at/enjoy, and spend at least some of your gameplay doing that. If you dont, this week it will be a thread about alchemy mats, next it will be about gold tempers, etc. In an MMO, you cannot completely neglect the economy and simultaneously expect to be competitive at end game.

Personally, I spend about 24 minutes a day (3 min times 8 toons) doing master writs. In this time frame, I get 32K gold, 24 alchemy reagents (net 3 per toon), about 10 gold mats (on average), and god knows how many surveys (more gold mats) and master writs (more money). I wont say its the best way to make money, but it is certainly easy and very efficient once you put in a little ground work. I am not freakishly wealthy, but I sit in the low 8 figures of gold, and mat prices are simply not something I think about. I am able to drink potions on cooldown and keep at least a dozen toons in gold gear (most have multiple sets). I have more golds and mats than I will ever possibly need, all because I have found a steady and efficient way of creating them. There is no right answer on how to do this, but the wrong answer is that it's ZOS's fault and that you dont want to play the economy in an MMO.

The only flower I have a problem keeping in stock is Corn Flower. All the others I usually have plenty of.

I'm a prolific trash pot user though unless I am in content where I care about max performance.

I wouldn't complain about getting alchemy in hireling mail, but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the game not having it.

i didnt read everything, but one thing that must be implemented:

Potions should be craftable in stacks.. but please not just 4, and 4, and 4, and 4, and 4...

for People doing hard contunent such as Trials, and/or pvp alot its really annyoing to stand 1h at the alchemy table pressing 1 button :-(

I'd like an alchemy passive that reduces potion cooldown, but that'd probably be broken.
